Also I just remembered I read some kind of article a few months ago about how there were sex scenes but were remade by a female dev because some looked like rape scenes? I'm not sure if the source I read that from was very reliable

His entire character is a stereotype and has NOTHING underneath it, though. Like, all I got was, "smug statement haha im a womaniser let me make a quip about this OH NO unethical treatment grr letsgetmarried" I didn't get anything more than him being an archetype of a personality.

I think it was David Gaider (I could be wrong, sorry), when he was talking about how important it is to have women in the dev team. Someone had written a romance scene and all the men in the team ok-ed it, but the women pointed out how it potentially could be seen as 'rape-y', and suddenly the men could see it too and wondered how on earth they missed that.

I think Gaider wrote him , think he said he was writing two romances ...can't be Cole , and one is Cassandra.
And if I remember correctly he said in his blog he did something in Inquisition he always wanted to do but never had the opportunity before.
So I'm thinking m/m romance.

The second romance he is writing therefor could be either a non-companion romance (like with Scribbles or something) or a romance arc with Jennifer Helper's character (considering that she wrote a companion for DAI before she left). Of course, Dorian could be JH's character... In fact, it isn't implausible at all...

People who didn't read the book had no idea. Not their fault. It's all clear now. I don't think Terrian meant they think Cole is an LI, though.

No I didn't mean Cole at all! That's super creepy. I thought I was being clear when I said the other romance arc is probably with a non-companion or JH's character.

Didn't DG write Asunder? It'd only be logical if he wrote Cole for DA:I as well.
I'd put my money on Patrick Weekes as Dorian's writer tho.
EDIT: Assuming Patrick Weekes wrote any of the characters, I haven't really been following the authors much.
I liked her a lot and she had a strong agenda. She cut the BS and she also was pretty direct about getting real answers about this Ubisoft BS as well as focusing on the female presence in the game. She also seemed to know her stuff.
Funny, I thought her questions seemed rather redundant and vague, like she hadn't played the games and just kept throwing out generic non-questions to maintain her presence. Interesting how different people can witness the same event and see two completely disparate things.
Does anyone else get the feeling that Dorian will work well alongside Varric? With what we know about the companions so far, it seems to me that every companion relationship could really go either way depending on the most dominant beliefs/traits that separate the two characters. But Dorian has that kind of roguish charm look about him that says to me that he and Varric would get up to some antics together.
So since Leliana has been outright confirmed not to be a LI and Cole has been pretty much confirmed not to be a love interest, I guess that makes Dorian's chances of being a LI that much more likely right? Right? Please Bioware this is the only thing I want from this game...

I love Dorian's Calrissean style. If he isn't romanceable by a Femquisitor I will cry... and then promptly roll a dude to smooch him.

Cullen WAS going to be my first PT LI... but with Dorian around... Cullen would have to seal the deal before I meet Dorian I think.
Also this might be the first time I go for a s/s romance in game if Dorian is gay. But with Sera being a lesbian and me not wanting to end up with Lady Strong Jaws or a "mysterious" woman who's supposed to have some kind of master secret which is probably how she grows tentacles under the sun and hides them under those ridiculous hats who's had more facetime than the inquisitor himself/herself, I might just stick with Dorian lol, should be amusing.

If you don't have Kaidan and you didn't romance garrus in mass effect 2, you literally have no options but to be a forever alone lol.

We have strong coping mechanisms. I've been honing mine since Baldur's Gate 2 and Haer'Dalis' romance was cut. Because Anomen was just... ugh.
At least Kaidan is by far my favorite of the Mass Effect romances. That helps the sting.

I would've preferred with they stayed with EVERYONE IS BI but wrote the f/m, m/m, and f/f romances for each character differently. Cuz then you could play "In THIS AU with a FemQunari mage quisitor... suddenly Varric liked horns!"
