My god I miss those character trailers. Checking the site every week to see which blanked out companion now had a face and video to go along with it (and in the case of Alistair, one which I watched a ridiculous amount of times). I would give up everything else they reveal to us in demos and interviews just to have those trailers back. And not much less than that just for Dorian's.

That is nowhere near the same thing as I'm sure you know, at least if you've seen any of the older ones. That was four companions in the same amount of time, with none of them speaking and showing nothing of substance. The voice of the f!Inquisitor was the most interesting thing about that trailer.

The Microsoft trailer and the trailer that played alongside the cellist however, I can watch again and again.

Well I still watch the Sacred Ashes , and yeah the "Landscape" video with the cello and the "Lead or Fall" (?) are great.
I'd say the FInquisitor trailer is a not as nice , mostly because FInquisitor trailer is about companions ...which annoys me a great deal when we have 2 trailer about Dudequisitor with him being the main focus.(and 3 trailer voices by him )
But anyway guess it's a discussion for another thread.^^

It was mentioned that there was a tevinter magister that was banished to the Anderfels that can mend broken flesh from....nothing? This was in the comics.

I'm kind of over healer romances to be honest. I guess it doesn't necessarily effect the romance much most of the time, but I'd still like some variety.

The known mage specializations are knight enchanter, rift specialist, and necromancer in DA I, right?

Maybe in this game necromancy is an ultimate form of healing? What better way to prevent death than to bring the dead back to life? It's obviously in its infancy but it could mean something.
Maybe his personal story has to do with him dealing with moral issues as a healer, as all healers do at some point.
I've said it before, I'd love it if he were a necromancer. Still, I don't want to see him bucking every Tevinter stereotype, so I'd really like if his magic was a bit more morally ambiguous than the rest of Thedas might be comfortable with. It would be awesome, in my opinion, if he went out with the intention of clearing up those stereotypes while unwittingly confirming a few of them.
Nothing bad like virgin sacrifices or blood orgies though.

All for orgies, but I have a feeling he won't be a stereotypical tevinter mage though. Maybe he used to be at one point but he's tired of it, turned over a new leaf, etc. I kind of want him to be a bit pompous, though...
I've got a healer/necromancer right now in DAO so it doesn't seem impossible to me... Wish there was more news about him but the steady stream of fanart and fics is enough to tide me over. For now.
On a related note, can you imagine how awesome it would be if the Big Bad behind the Breach is actually an ancient elven dreamer? With the elves loving to blame humans for everything and the Chantry loving to blame Tevinter for everything, I rather dislike the idea of a magister (whether current or ancient) being behind it all.
Because life for elves is already so swell, ahhh... For their sake, hope not.
