I've got it real bad, Elu  It's even spilling over to non-DA parts of my life now.  Hopefully the vaguely Dorian-esque man at the yogurt shop last night didn't mind my gawking and wistful sighing.

I think what you're claiming is a Qunari ideal, but what someone aspires to isn't necessarily what happens.  But I shall move this to the Iron Bull thread - sorry everyone!

 

What are everyone's general plans for a Dorian romance?  IF he ends up being bi, will you go at him with a female or male first, and what race?  Thanks to fanart I'm pretty much set on a male elf, but someone suggested the QunarixTevinter dynamic might be interesting.  I really hope we get some race/class specific dialogue in the romances, anyways.

If Dorian ends up being bi, I will romance him with a either a human or an elven rogue. I was planning my Cullen LI PT to be an elven mage until I found out it was Dalish only. Trying to decide if that will affect my role playing for that one (my Inquisition Preparedness DA:O PT was a Surana. I wanted the Inquisitor to remind Cullen of his long lost crush). Whatever race I do for Cullen I will do the other for Dorian.

 

Of course, there is a chance I might go with Qunari Mage because after the gameplay demo I kinda ship LadyQun Mage and Dorian...

I'm flabbergasted by the amount of  people still trying to hope this guy is bisexual, I hope that once he's revealed to be gay (which he will be) we don't have to read incessant ranting over something that never should have been expected. There's gonna be one gay guy, and it certainly isn't going to be IB, Cullen or Blackwall.

There's nothing jerky about pointing out the obvious, there's one thing being open to a surprise but I can't believe the amount that ignore the notion that he's 85% (if not more) chance going to be the gay male all things considered.

Well, considering that the majority of the people hoping to romance Dorian SEEM to be groups of people used to not having LIs at all... I think we might be a bit more mature about it. ((already got my Nerf Herder Inquisitor planned if Dorian is gay))

 

Also, while I might agree that Cullen is unlikely to be gay, I would not discount Blackwall yet. He IS Ser Bara, after all...

 

As for Iron Bull "anyone he can't break" could mean that he is afraid of breaking ladies. Even he isn't a confirmed LI (thanks to Twitter)

 

At this point, no one is guaranteed until a dev says.

Why not Blackwall? (WHY NOT BOTH? I would totally play a dude to romance him too. And Sera... and Cass and Viv... Holy **** Inquisition is gonna be hard on my poor romance loving heart.)

Yeah, I don't get it either. I can see how you could eliminate Cullen or Solas as the m/m romance... but there is no logic for eliminating IB or Blackwall. At all. Especially if the reason to eliminate them is "CUZ DORIAN!"

DA doesn't like to make their gay character blatantly gay. They like to take a more tastefully road. Just because he has a mustache, a well styled hair cut, and is wearing bondage gear doesn't make him gay. He could be bi, straight or gay. With no info on him we're making theories about him off of pure aesthetic.

To me, the logic that "Dorian looks gay" makes as much sense as "Vivienne should have been the lesbian because she's into girly things". Like WTF?
