I absolutely love the fact that he is still called Dramatic Hands Mustache Guy   

Anyways, while I really like the the idea of him being "Dorian" from the survey he doesn't strike me as magister (it's mostly his robes). As others mentioned I also assume he will be some kind of advisor to our inquisitor

Since it looks like maybe (??) Sheryl Chee wrote Grey Warden, and a lot of the other confirmed companions already have writers attached to them, who would have written DHMG if he is hypothetically Dorian?

 

I forget whether one of the core writers had Tevinter as "their thing" (like Jennifer with the dwarves, Mary with the qunari, etc) but it'd be kinda interesting to get a sense of how the writers would tackle this kind of character.

I've always loved Mary's characters, so I'd love if she had written him.

 

Mary's already writing Varric and Vivienne, I think, so three companions sounds like a lot  

 

I'd love it if Patrick wrote DHMG, actually. The comedy dialogue in ME3/Citadel/Masked Empire was excellent.

If he were to be a companion, I'd hope he'd be announced next. Want to do more drawings, and it would be too idiotic filling up the blog with fanart of a character that ain't happening. Itching to draw, but still... 7 are sort of already confirmed, two left... Generally don't have any opinions of characters/companions until after playing the games and seeing what fans do with them.

 

Except the already fancy nicknames, if a companion, what do you think Varric would call him?

His mustache shall be his greatest weapon. I'm hoping a regular dialogue voice will be to submit your foe to the mercy of the facial hair.

I've mentioned this before, but I get a real Spirit Healer vibe from this guy. I don't know why.

If Weekes wrote DHMG, I would probably die of happiness, even if he's just an unromanceable NPC.

 

I'm also thinking he might be a Spirit Healer. I like the idea that it would make him an outcast amongst Magisters ("you use your magic to...help people?") and that he would use it to play against expectations abroad.

Even if DHMG is a companion, I can't (unfortunately) see him being an LI.  Can you imagine a man with such beautifully groomed and maintained facial hair allowing some chump to screw it up with a kiss?

With 3 mages to fill the distribution, this guy is looking very likely as Dorian, I think.
