Lebanesus Dudellius?
I assure you it really doesn't sound like a disease.
Fine. I'll change it for a week, just for you
Good, very good.
Tevinter naming party!
Wouldn't you technically be Lucia Glitteria?
I came across this and had to share haha (note, link contains an f-bomb in case language is a concern for the circumstances you're watching in).
Part of a larger analysis of the video, but this part in particular made me think of this thread
I gotta wonder how long the mustache has been part of his character design. I mean obviously it's been awhile since we saw it in the leaks, but was it there from the very beginning? Did Dorian's writer insist (btw do we know who his writer is yet?) that he had to have a ****** awesome mustache, or did a concept artist just doodle it in one day and everyone fell in love with the design? Was the ever a big debate about whether or not he should have a mustache or did everyone just agree once they saw him with one?

I'd love to know this too.
I'm really interested in the character concepting process, and how much of it is the writer's vision versus what the concept artists do when they first get the biography or whatever.
(Dorian's original picture in the survey looks like Matt Goldman's art style if I'm not mistaken, but I guess the ultimate idea for the character would've come from David/Mark/Mike and the rest of the writers.)

Questions for the philosophers.

That would be rad if the moustache came first and completely formed the character
His concept design reminds me of a Victorian gentleman from the Romantic era- when it was popular to write poetry, visit ancient places, and study intensely the classical (Graeco-Roman) civilisations and their ideals. I think he's going to be very civilised and educated, and passionate about "human" rights.
The moustache just seems to fit in- it has to be carefully groomed to look that way, indicating his status as someone of means, and of a certain attention to detail
I sort of imagined this as well, I'm glad people were thinking the same thing ![]()
Almost like Lord Byron, or something.

I had to scroll down the page a bit to understand what you were talking about but this image:

does have a particularly Dorian feel to it, and Lord Byron's career does fit Dorian a bit as well.

The fanart in this thread makes Dorian seem more attractive (and his mustache more tolerable) than the videos and pictures from actual gameplay. I dunno; I hope he's cute. I mean, he is cute. Whatever. I still wish he had a full (but light) beard, or no 'stache/chin strip, but the devs owe me nothing. I also hope he's the gay option, but I won't assume he is. I'm not sure the evidence is that strong. (would the writers really care whether or not all the elven companions in this game were gay? why would they? I'm not sure they would. Morrigan had what you might call bicurious hair; Leliana did not. and so on)
I am definitely looking forward to a sympathetic Tevinter character, though. We have had (and will have) far too many "cool Qunari" trying to sell us fantasy Stalinism. Time for something new~
I'm desperate for him to be available as an LI for female Inquisitors. That would probably make him bi given that everyone assumes he's available for males.Game Dorian is probably the best looking NPC I've ever seen. Hence why I'm so desperate for him to be bisexual.
There's someone who tags Dorian posts with '#cross my heart hope he's bi' on tumblr. It made me laugh the first time I saw it because I could relate. Haha. Majority of the tags I've read made me see that the thirst is real for Dorian.
BW should just make him non romancable. Imagine the rage. Sera got nothing on the level Dorian would pull.
I am joking, by the way.
*chuckles* Well, at least that would be fair. Everyone's equally screwed.BW should just make him non romancable. Imagine the rage. Sera got nothing on the level Dorian would pull.

It'd be very amusing. I'm just sick of blonde men whose romances have lots of issues. And I want to listen to Alix Wilton Regan for 100 hours.BW should just make him non romancable. Imagine the rage. Sera got nothing on the level Dorian would pull.

Or... equally NOT screwed, as the case will be.
