The longer the Solas profile takes, the more I suspect he has ties to... someone who appears near the end of TME.
I mean, I can understand delaying Dorian because having a magister on the team is pretty unique. But Solas? There's something going on with him that we don't know about.

I've been thinking the same. It's weird how tightly they're keeping Solas under wraps. They still talked about Dorian some and confirmed he was from Tevinter and a bit of his background. We still know nothing about Solas, basically. I don't want to assume it's something really interesting in case I'm way over reading in to the situation, though, because then I'll just be more disappointed than I would be otherwise if he's something more mundane, like just some random apostate.
