But ALL we've gotten from Tevinter mages are mustache twirlers. This is refreshing, IMO.
well, if Dorian isn't going to be mustache twirler I can twirl it for him

Do you guys think his cockiness will come off as arrogance? I mean, it'd be unfair if they made him 100% perfect and lovable in every way.
I actually hope, he's a little arrogant. don't want a perfectly nice guy.
Getting a Tevinter citizen and having him be morally uptight and stand against the ways of countries sounds like the most boring possible thing they could have done with that type of character.
I think it is literally the most interesting thing they could do with that character.
Dorian is a walking affront to everything that Tevinter stands for - he opposes its politics, its traditions and probably parts of his own family. He's an exile who by rights should be powerful in his own country, but refuses to accept that power.
That's a fascinating basis for a character.

I think he'll be more arrogant than Zevran who also had the cocky going. Plus he's incredibly successful (well was but still has his magic). I can see it backfiring though, and maybe some of the party doesn't even take him seriously. I just hope if you tease him ever or whatever it doesn't kill your chances at romance lol
I recommend to keep him away from Bull.
Good point.... ![]()
I think he does sound like he might be a little arrogant, but I'm into it. lol

As long as he wears a bloody helmet when fighting eight-foot opponents, I won't worry about the arrogance.
gotta protect the moustache

Out of likes already, but me too. I want to clash a little, shout a bit, mess up his mustache and then run away. You know, normal relationship stuff.
He's... okay. Nothing really to write home about, IMO. Let's just say that before seeing these images, I desperately wanted him to be m/m, now, I wouldn't mind him being bi and Solas being m/m.

I hope not. We already have an arrogant mage companion in the form of Vivienne.

from how you describe him it sounds like a pride demon couldn't even tempt the Tevinter model! btw do we know his VA yet?

I enjoy cocky men from time to time. winkwinkwink

I'm worried my first playthrough will be so Dorian-centric I'll miss a lot of storylines for other companions and such. I mean my first playthrough always misses things, but this time I have a feeling the other followers are realllyyy going to suffer (except Cole because :3).
IB and Dorian could actually be good friends if you think about it. Cuz Dorian is against Tervinter society. Plus, with Cole "if you're on the team, you're on the team" -Patrick Weekes

Nope, except that he's possibly British and of East Indian heritage.
there's no word other then that to express the excitement of people in this thread today!

It seems difficult for me to imagine Dorian (or any mage) could get behind a Qunari supporter, considering what they do to mages.

Funny how the sewing of the mouths and everything keeps slipping my mind... Yeeeeea. IB himself seems pretty liberal, though, so I doubt he personally would bust out the sewing kit - or even support it, if anyone else tried.

I see Vivienne's arrogance as being cold and a bit judgmental. Dorian seems... hotter... to me >.> I could see his arrogance as more of a personal thing, like a kid who does really well in high school and thinks he's hot ****, then goes to college and realizes there are a lot of other really smart people out there.
Would Sera and Dorian get along because they both take pride in being different?
Daaaaamn ![]()
I will create a male quizzy for him ![]()
And if BioWare decide to be mean and make him straight / not a romance, my male quizzy shall be as evil as possible just because Dorian doesn't love him ![]()

Sera doesn't like people who got power easily , Dorian was born a mage in a powerful Tevinter familly.
I think he's going to be on her s***list.

Great now this gives me the mental image that iron bull is the mender of the group (for clothing to cover up his wishes to sew every mages mouth shut) just imagine him sewing or knitting?
I wonder if he's the mage Vivienne doesn't get along with?

Yes because having another tevinter mage who is immoral and uses blood magic would be soooo great.
