Is it just me or does he have a reblemblance in personality and looks to Oberyn from GoT?

He is definitely wearing eyeliner, thank you hi-res.
omg
HE LOOKS FABULOUS !!!!!!!!!
I hope you realize I'm totally messin' with you, dear. I have nothing against Scribs.Yes, because having a negative opinion about a quote, not a character, should be responded to with a "I hope your character sucks".
Just for that, I hope Scribbles was a Chevalier and has Vivienne's attitude.
Well she kind of resembles Effie Trinket (the mahogany line from Gaider but that's all). I won't be surprised if Scribbles is similar to Viv and Dorian.
I think it is literally the most interesting thing they could do with that character.
Dorian is a walking affront to everything that Tevinter stands for - he opposes its politics, its traditions and probably parts of his own family. He's an exile who by rights should be powerful in his own country, but refuses to accept that power.
That's a fascinating basis for a character.
It is, but at the same time it's almost expectant. We have a whose-who of outcast found in this cadre of followers so far, bar Blackwall and Vivienne. I was kind of hoping Dorian would be a bit more Tevinter-like, or at least, more moderate in stead of the extreme. Kind of like how Fenris complains they all use Blood Magic to get ahead, he doesn't do that, but he still gets ahead other ways.

I know, but that joke has long overrun its course.

Not just you.
and hopefully he's similar in other ways hint hint dorian for everyone!
I think Tevinter needs a "good" side. Everything in Thedas is morally grey, but Tevinter has been painted the most full-stop evil. I think they needed to add more greyness in there and Dorian seems to be doing that. I hope Cole is there to do that for the spirits, also.

Exactly! They're the Slytherins of Thedas.

If their 'greyness' comes in the form of a man treated as an outcast because he hates how Tevinter is, then I still think they are pretty much still full-stop evil.

Well, he's an outcast to the "powers that be", but I can't imagine he's the only one that wants things to change. I imagine he represents those that want Tevinter to be different, but maybe not everyone is in a position to do as much about it. I think that's hinted towards in the end of his profile.

Except it proves that there is potential for a reformation- Tevinter isn't a lost cause. Just because Dorian's an outcast doesn't mean he's the only one with his beliefs. It just means he's the only one with his beliefs who is (currently) brave/pwerful enough abandon everything he knows to try and set things right.

Is he Tevinter's Moses? "Let my people go." ![]()
I was curious to see what Dorian was like (I'm still waiting for Solas) but dauyym... I don't want to be all like he's the hottest piece of ass because .. Well the fact that he might be only m/m . But really suave look and that description though!
I'll just .. calm down :

I really hope that Dorian doesn't reject everything about Tevinter society. I would probably be more interested in him if he doesn't have a problem with blood magic, for instance, but dislikes the way that slaves are sometimes used as simple blood containers. Either version will be fine with me though.
Lol I'm not only one who noticed guyliner I see!

I agree so much with you. I'm hoping he has things he likes or reminisces they used to have/do. I doubt he'd hate everything about the place. Maybe he doesn't open up about those immediately.
I think Dorian will probably be very into mage freedom, but I don't think he'll support slaves and all that.
Much as I loved Fenris, it would be great to run into him again with Dorian and be able to say "Look, I've found him, the ONE GOOD TEVINTER MAGISTER."
Also note that he is definitely not a commoner made good sort of Magister but from one of the ancient lines. I'd say it's not surprising he had to leave, otherwise he'd probably be dead. Looks like he's going to be fun to have around - doing magic with style.
