Since Cullen was announced as an LI, everyone has already pretty much acknowledged that one companion LI would probably be gay and maybe one straight, or he would be straight. I think a lot of straight guys assumed the lesbian option would just be an NPC, like in ME. I don't think they ever expected to lose a really popular character. Dorian has always been heavily theorized as gay, so I think there's more preparation, if it's true. 

 

I'd always been guessing Sera as the lesbian, though, personally. So, I wasn't really surprised. lol

Also as somebody mentioned in twitter thread in those pictures Dorian's magic makes me think more of rift magic that necromancy (that blue circle thing especially..)

Several things that make me think that Dorian is the gay option.

 

First : Cullen. He looks like the generic blonde guy made to appeal to most of girls. ( no offense to his fans, when I say generic. I mean just a beautiful blonde guy we see generally on tv )  He also only showed attraction to women.

 

Dorian and his mustache on his face. This isn't something that could appeal to many women overall. Guys are way more tolerant toward such thing. And his look overall.

Only his mouth needed to be a little higher and it would have looked good. Its because his face is build around the moustache - hence why it looked weird without it.

 

Though, nothing beats the stache.

Please devs look in advance for Dorian dissapearing mustache bug in game to fix it I hate seeing him without it! It is same like taking Bianca from Varric or taking that silly hats from Vivienne. It's pretty sure that Cullen won't be a m/m option. He shown interest in women before. He'd be is thee straight or bisexual.

The same sex male companion is narrowed down between Solas and Dorian now. Either one will make me a happy guy.

Unless of course, the gay character doesn't actually exist. Though that would reinforce the idea that male homosexuality = lowest common denominator.

Because it makes him sound too vain in my opinion. The first part was nice, but the second part ruined it for me. I mean, the VA may be able to make it endearing like how Robert Downey Jr. made Tony Stark vain yet still awesome, but I don't get the feeling it will work nearly as well.

Or Blackwall. There is more support for Blackwall being the m/m option than you'd think.
