What makes you think it's narrowed down to that? I suppose Varric is out and IB sounds bi, but basically anyone else is still on the table.

There is literally no other male companion I can think of that would fit the bill.

Cullen is either straight or at the very least bisexual.
Varric, if an option, would be the same story as Cullen.
Cole is obviously not an option.
Iron Bull is heavily implied to be bisexual.
That leaves us with Solas, Dorian, and (possibly) Blackwall.

I have a feeling though Dorian might be our middle mage, in the sense he supports mage freedom, but he also does not want everyone with magic running around, nor does he want what happen in Tevinter to happen where Viv and Solas will be our extremes(though Viv seems to have her own reasons for being pro circle so Solas might also since he is an apostate)

 

Just my hope anyways. I really don't want Dorian to be pro mage like Anders personally

 

Tbh, I get the feeling Solas might not even care about the Mage/Templar thing

I wonder if when playing the game, Dorian will have himself a good time, and the world will turn itself inside out and he'll be fooling around on ecstacy? He does give off the impression of acting like a tiger, defying the laws of gravity. He seems like a sex machine ready to reload, which is why they'll probably name him Mr Fahrenheit, as during combat he'll be travelling at the speed of light. He's gonna make a super sonic man/woman out of the protagonist I'm sure.

I agree. I am most interested to see dialogue between him and Varric. If Dorian is the m/m option it will be funny if he flirted with the straight males

 

As for his sexuality I hope everyone will be a good sport about it when his orientation is known. Best of luck to those of you who are want to romance him

Oh I agree he is not as bad as Vivienne. I don't see Dorian creating a list of approved gifts.

If the Voice Actor is able to pull off the Howard/Tony arrogance but also the positive aspects of those characters, then I'm open to changing my mind.

Solas is likely whatever that rift mage specialization is.

 

Dorian i have no idea. Blood Mage is an obvious choice, but he is probably (sadly for me) against it. I cant imagine he would be ok with Necromancy though. Isnt that what replaced Blood Mage?

Well, their most recent comments on Cole by his new writer were more vague on whether he could be an LI, but even if he was I would have guessed he'd not be gated since he's.. not human and not really a gender, technically. But who knows. I think he likely still wont be an option. They just like to keep all the doors open until they officially close them.

 

I'd rather Solas over Blackwall, if it's not Dorian. It's totally cool with me that other people are into Blackwall, but romancing someone that much older than me squicks me out a little, I'll be honest. Like, I don't have a problem with other people having age gaps that big in their relationships. It's 100% cool with me. It's just not something I can find attractive, personally.

I kinda miss Blood Mage as a specialization still..ah well.
