David said he wrote 2 followers and 2 romances (he said it like that). We already know we have at least one NPC romance so David first companion isn't necessarily a romance.
Ah, yeah.
This can mean a number of things, it's honestly impossible to tell at this point.
(That could be four characters, or three, or two.)

I ran Dorian through photoshop out of morbid curiosity:
AHHHH MY EYES!! PUT IT BACK ON, PUT IT BACK ON!

Spoiler
This looks too much like Elvis in Bubba Ho-Tep. Please make it stop.
I'm so glad you made a happy one to counteract the sadness the OTHER one made me feel
DAMN IT I LOOKED AT IT AGAIN
Come here, Dorian, I'll never break your heart!
Haha, without sadness, the happiness wouldn't be as sweet
But I keeping getting called Satan and Monster doing stuff like this, still unsure whether to be gleefully elated or saddened panda by it ^o^;;
Here's my two cents about Dorian based on what I think I know about him.
I think I would prefer Dorian to not to be such a "goody-two-shoe" Defector from Decadence.
I guess what I'm trying to say is: I want Dorian's opinions on blood magic and slavery and Tevinter and all of that, to be less about "tey r teh evulz!" and more about being nuanced and complex and grey.
Dorian might oppose blood magic not just because he sees it as morally and ethically objectionable, but because it is also used excessively and without discipline. All of that, and the horrifying sacrifices too. BUT, he should be ok with using his own blood in moderation. And sacrifice only as a desperate last resort.
He might oppose slavery not just because he sees it morally and ethically objectionable, but because it also holds Tevinter back and weakens it because they are so dependent on it.
Things like that.

So let's talk voice actors. They said it's a British actor of east indian descent.
In part, I am kind of hoping for Alexander Siddig, but he's not east indian - he's Sudanese. But I was just thinking of how many star trek actors they've had in the past (Bodahn being TNG's very own Lt. Barclay!) among other folks from the trek universe (Janeway, Tuvok).
The only other name I can think of is Naveen Andrews, who is east indian and he is from London.

Good Blood Magic? Good Demon followers? What's next, happy tranquils?
Sure, if they can make it work, but seriously I'm still recovering from Cole being a companion.

Aww, no sad pandas, you're an angel!
Your heart-breaking pieces are some of my favorites, but I'll admit having happy art chasers helps me a lot
I'll never argue with more Dorian art either, happy or sad.
Most importantly, will Dorian bring over a Tevinter elephant mount with him? I seriously need that.

Weirdly similar styles - especially the hair.

But to be honest, it looks a tad fake on his close up shots. Like not enough color variance or smaller hairs.
I thought the same thing. I hope they do some fine adjusting. Close up the facial hair looks drawn on.
POBODY'S NERFECT THO
Except Dorian, obviously.

OHMYGOD!!!! A DORIAN REVEAL!!! This is like the best thing that could happen right before I head off for my last exam!!! And we'll probably get his interview tonight or tomorrow night! (Though I wouldn't care ATM should it take longer for them to release it!)
Probably more info on him tomorrow, leaving Solas fans to continue their descent into madness and starvation.

At least they have his name. ![]()
if you ask nicely he might pose.
Oh gosh, Steampunk Dorian!
Wow. That there is a handsome mage. Getting a major old Hollywood vibe from Dorian. Douglas Fairbanks meets Errol Flynn. They are just knocking the companions out of the park. I think I have a favorite now. Witty, cultured, awesome mustache. Must...not...swoon...So, this is what Cullen does to fangirls, huh?

I find it hard to believe that this is not the case with dorian. Tevinter is his home and to just up and disappear and say i dont agree with my entire homeland is kinda sketchy. The culture he was raised and developed in wont just disappear because of a simple revelation. I really expect there to be some really gray areas with him, that will probably tick some people off.
This would make me hate him so fast.
Oh, I don't know. You can make very reasonable-sounding arguments for why the Andrastian fear of blood magic is extreme and irrational compared to the good it can do. And Tevinter has a pretty strong argument that slavery is needed to maintain itself as the bulwark against the Qunari- a self-serving argument of arguable accuracy, but a legitimate one in terms of which is the greater threat.
A good deal of the cultural moralities we've seen so far in Southern Thedas have been absolutist in nature. If you don't believe in moral inherency arguments, you can make pretty sound justification arguments for immoral actions.
