SO EVIL. BUT I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING.
SpoilerSO EVIL. BUT I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING.
Jerks.
Knowing for fact that Gaider wrote Dorian pretty much sealed my decision to go for a male Inquisitor first - Dorian is by far the most interesting character out there and I know Gaider will deliver amazing writing. Now, all that is left for my Elf guy is to brush up his knowledge on Tevinter history, get ready to make remarks about Tevinter and slavery, aand prepare some lube.... I sure hope elfroots make good lube.

Blast it, this is the sort of scene where I need to cool everyone's jets with blood magic, but I won't be able to access it!
I laughed so hard
"Magnifique!" Dorian looks so *meh*! I don't care about the balance of my party, I'm taking Vivienne and Dorian everywhere!

I like dorian, he is pretty cool. Have to say I'm surprised he is not Bi.
Guys, please can somebody create M+M with quinari?
Well, we all saw the writing on the wall about Dorian's sexuality, didn't we? I don't think anyone can say his fanbase didn't see this coming. I admit my personal disappointment with this turn of events is substantial, but long-prepared for. My real-world opinions on SS relationships run contrary to most of this board, and romance fans in general. Do to my spiritual beliefs as well as emotional trauma, it's a powerful trigger for me, and an area of Bioware games that I cannot bring myself to explore or experience. And given how much I love Bioware games, that makes me sad. I always thought that the DA2 route was the best way to go with romances, and I still think that. It's a fair compromise between people like me who dislike SS romances for real-world reasons, and people who like it for the same.
All that being said, I absolutely support what Bioware has done with Dorian's sexuality, because it fits so perfectly with his character concept. In a society that reveres magical bloodlines and breeding, what better way to accentuate a rebellious mage character than for him or her to be gay? Despite my sadness at losing out on a romance, I think it truly fits the character for him to be the way Bioware made him. And I look forward to seeing what kind of a friend Dorian can be to some of my Inquisitors. Especially my female Inquisitors. Maybe they can compare notes.
F!Inquisitor: Come on, I caught you looking at Cullen earlier. What was it? His broad shoulders? His handsome jaw? His firm....posterior?
DHMG: Actually, his boots. I think I would look much more dashing in a pair just like them, but the man refuses to let me take a look.
F!Inquisitor: Come by my chambers after midnight. His boots will be outside, I guarantee it.
DHMG: I have been hoping to take a look at his cloak and belt as well. Can I assume they will be with the boots?
F!Inquisitor: You know me so well.....
But do I want to romance him with a mage so they can shoot fireballs at things together or another class so it's easier to bring him along as often as I want?

EDIT: i didnt read the original post past this sentence and I should have before replying, woops.
I'm trying to decide what kind of man to romance Dorian with. A part of me wants to go with a similarly stylish and dashing man. The more I think about it though, the more I want to romance him with a very salt-of-the-earth, brawny warrior type. On the other hand, it would be cool to nerd out with him about magic too...
Professional but occasionally snarky and flirtatious human inq. is what im going for

Considering today's news I guess I need to change my forum name again since the one I have now implies I'm Dorian's sister or mother. Not cool, not cool.

I am sorry you had to experience what you did.
I'm not surprised at all. Blackwall does not really fit the male romance interest archetype, and I can't imagine they wouldn't see the problems with having two gay elves.
Darn! I missed David's interview.... I just hope that Iron bull ends as a Bi Li, even though I see my male inq romancing dorian better than, for example, Solas.

Well, I believe Iron Bull's chances are rather high considering what we know about him. Here's hoping he's a proper romance option and not a one night stand type deal or a character that sleeps around but just not with the Inquisitor! ![]()

I still don't get how they will work around the whole Sten thing attesting to the Qunari bedding situations...

- Morrigan: I... what did you say?
- Sten: You will need armor, I think. And a helmet. And something to bite down on. How strong are human teeth?
- Morrigan: How strong are my teeth?
- Sten: Qunari teeth can bite through leather, wood, even metal given time. Which reminds me, I may try to nuzzle.
- Morrigan: Nuzzle?
- Sten: If that happens, you'll need an iron pry bar. Heat it in a fire, first, or it may not get my attention.
- Morrigan: Perhaps it would be better if we did not proceed.
I'm pretty sure Sten was trolling. And trolling hard. ![]()

Hard and magnificently.
I would really like a scene in Inquisition where Morrigan finds out Iron Bull has been banging half of Orlais, asks him about pry bars, gets a blank look in return, and walks off with a face like thunder to slap the new Arishok.
