I'm pretty sure Sten was trolling. And trolling hard.
Yeah, just considering the lack of casual romantic relationships in Qunari society. Also, we all know that AriSten is the king of trolls.

But dude, just look at The Arishok....like its solid muscle and buffiness. Combined with Geralt like animations and that's one sore inquisitor.
Dorian is much fluffier and fairyfloss like.
Oh, it's not official art I'm talking about. Some fans of DA, have apparently drawn Dorian as a blond, blue-eyed, white man, which has brought the ire of both forumites and twitterers. They have then stated that their version is "improved" and "better". I just wanna see these (if they exist) for myself.
There was something like that made for Vivienne, haven't seen any for Dorian. I don't know how serious they were though with the whole "making her better." Because it really sounded like trolling, but hell surely came down on them hard. The picture has been deleted.
I find though, that there is a lot of complaining going around about these things that I hardly see anything of. So many complaints about people hating that Sera and Dorian are gay. I've seen people be upset that a character they wished to romance is unavailable to them, which I think is fair enough, but hardly any hate at all.
So I'd take complaints about things no one's referencing with a grain of salt. I think people have been behaving rather well, the women vs. men reaction stuff was disappointing I think though. But yeah, I have yet to see any deliberate whitewashing of Dorian, there might be some, but I don't think it's as big problem some would like to make it out to be.
Hard and magnificently.
I would really like a scene in Inquisition where Morrigan finds out Iron Bull has been banging half of Orlais, asks him about pry bars, gets a blank look in return, and walks off with a face like thunder to slap the new Arishok.
....That would be beautiful. ![]()
That's a whole lot of "D" going on.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. You know I'm just teasing.
D is the way to go.
I am really hoping we get a Dragon Age equivalent of The Plastics with Dorian, Vivienne and Scribbles. I still haven't figured out which is which, though I suspect Vivienne would be Regina George.

Inquisitor would be the Cady of the group. They would slowly be manipulated and groomed to be recognised as one of the upper class Orlesians and a upstanding member of The Inquisition before Inquisitor takes over the leadship role from Vivienne who subsequently goes on a rampage and then gets run over by a Wyvern.
If Dorian had less brain cells, I think he would be Karen. Only because he has a, "fifth sense."
All I can say about Dorian is that he will be mine!
I have to wonder though if the devs didn't come up with Dorian, would they have inserted Maevaris in as a party member instead as our Tevinter representative?
According to Mr. Gaider, I believe, Mae was created too late to be implemented in Inquisition.
I do really hope we get to meet her in DA4, though!

I think I might die of hyperfabulosity if that ever happens.

I think that Maevaris was created by the comic makers late into the writing cycle, otherwise she would've made an appearance in game (I believe DG referenced this, but it's too early for me to search for references).
Either way, it's good that through all forms of media, we're getting more than just "straights and bisexual elves", BioWare has done an excellent job of making Thedas pretty diverse.
EDIT: Who knows, Maevaris could make a grand entrance through DLC to DAI. I would HELLA buy that. (Throwing money at the screen doesn't work, by the way, I tried).
I came back much earlier than I said I would because I am bad at staying away if I have nothing else to keep me busy at the moment. I'm glad that all blew over so quickly!
Seeing as Iron Bull, Dorian and Sera are described as team YOLO, what do you think the relationship between Sera and Dorian is going to be like?

Hmm!
I think it depends? His style of magic might ping on her 'creep' radar, but personality wise I don't see why they wouldn't get along? Especially when Dorian wants to fight against his country's corruption and that could -- and I hope it does -- include the classism and slavery. And Sera is all about defending the downtrodden.
I suppose she could, however, have something against him merely because of his background, though. *scratches chin, speculates*

With Dorian in the team, Iron Bull will finally have his chance at mayhem. Fly baby girl, flyyyy.

MAAAAAAAAAYHEM.
*scurries back*
Well, I believe Iron Bull's chances are rather high considering what we know about him. Here's hoping he's a proper romance option and not a one night stand type deal or a character that sleeps around but just not with the Inquisitor!
I really hope you're right. I don't even care if he is race-gated... I have abandoned any hope of blackwall being bi, but with dorian and IB I would be well served.
BTW, this improves the chances of having dorian in the group with my male qun mage inq.

I get that it's a joke but I think like... 5ish people expressed disappointment. It's not like BW goes out of their way to anger their fans or to be cruel about it. I just don't like the tone of this, tbh. No offence.

I'm a gay guy, and yet I still find the joke to be in very bad taste.
This got a big fat d'awwww out of me when I saw it on tumblr. I like the idea of a big shy country-bumpkin type Qunquisitor not knowing how to express his feelings for the super confident and charming Tevinter noble, I may just have to make this my warrior playthrough.

Congratulations on your face, messere.
So based on what we know about the flamboyant Dorian which companion is everyone planning to have accompany them when they take Dorian?
Personally I plan on: Dorian/Vivienne/not so well dressed companion just to see all the "filthy clothing" dialogue.
I also wonder if Dorian will talk about his and other companions' appearance only when Vivi is around and just be sarcastic and fun when she's not.
