Fenris's sister was, at least, a free apprentice to Danarius. There are free elves. A lot of humans are in slavery. So, I would still say elves aren't considered the bottom of the class system, full-stop, in Tevinter.

I wonder when Allan said that he looks more definite caucasian, if he has the same skin tone but with dark hair and a mustache. That would be what his concept art depicted.

There was an elven slaver working for those tervinter mages in DAO. Not particularly powerful I guess but not a slave and she seemed to have command over others, including humans.
Dorian looks allot older with blonde hair, i'm not really a fan tbh and although that mustache is a bit unrealistic looking his face doesn't really look right without it.

I wouldn't put the idea of whitewashing Vivienne as well past the derelicts who lurk at 4chan, but they're already probably onto that.

I really prefer the original. Wasn't feeling the twirly mustache much at first, it felt very foppish, I have to say, but it's grown on me (no pun intended) and now that I see edits of Dorian without it I prefer him with. It suits him.
On another note: SO excited for this character! I love him already. His backstory is very intriguing and I can't wait until the game comes out! I really hope he's a romanceable character (seems likely I guess but I'm not taking anything for granted until it's in my hands). I have a feeling that he's gonna be in all my parties, just like Fenris was.
So apparently there's been a wave of new Dorian info while I was away. (And a lot of tumblr drama to boot.) Still have to catch up to this thread and everything else, but at least we now have clearer screenies. Because that means I can paint him in a more faithful manner. Yaaaaassss.
Just a reminder that it seems like some trolls from other gaming websites are hanging around the BSN at the moment. If they try to start something in this thread, the best thing to do is:
1. Use the 'report' button at the lower left of the post.
2. PM Allan or another Bioware developer, they're sometimes faster to respond than the other mods.
3. Ignore the troll posts and move the discussion on to something else. We can even add the posters to personal ignore lists, unlike the old forum, which will remove the posts until the mods can deal with them.

I don't think its trolling insomuch as people either trying to prove a point, or making a joke out of a non-situation.
Heck, let's go to the Iron Bull thread and make him hornless, see how that goes over.
