There was still that 1% chance he would only romance the Bull.
Bringing a qunari home to meet Mama and Papa Pavus would certainly be an interesting experience.

People, did you really thought that they wrote gay in his profile and wouldn't make him LI?
There is right to be cautious. Better to not get one's hopes too high before there is official word -- a lesson hard learned by Bioware fans.
But now there is official word here so we can celebrate!

... I suppose that should be Mater and Pater Pavus, really.

Well now I imagine Dorian's mum is Lucille from Arrested Develoment.
Not sure if this has been posted before. But here's some extra semi-confirmation by the man himself.
David could've meant that in general though, not specifically about the male Inquisitor.
Dorian is "legitimately" gay because he only romances men, in general, unlike other "gay romances" (Anders, Fenris, Zevran) who, in general, could also romance women.
But the Facebook post is very unambiguous.
Sigh...
Goddammit Anders...
"I love all my children equally"
*earlier that day*
"I don't care for Dorian"
*sprays coffee everywhere*

I know, which is why I said semi-confirmation. ![]()

Well that leaves me to make like 3 potential LIs for him. Human mage. Human rogue. Quinari mage.

I have the urge to do the Quinari first but I think I'll keep that a special 'fun' save' after at least one vanilla 'go for the D'/'how do i even go about acquiring the D' playthrough
-strolls in- Just wanted to congratulate all you guys who wanted to romance Dorian. Your wish was granted.
-hands cookies-
Dorian: I’ll tell them, Inquisitor. I won’t do it. I’m afraid of what I might know.
Poprian: You? No one wants you. Does anyone want him, Barry?
Barry the Mage Laywer: Who would want him?
Momrian: They don’t want you.
This is interesting, from the Twitter thread:

Also, Judeo-Christian values don't exist in DA. Why would being gay be treated as degeneracy in the Tevinter Imperium?
It's explained, in part, in the World of Thedas. Or you can wait for Dorian to explain it. Nothing Christian about it, however.
Celebration theme needed.
CONGRATS DORIAN FANS!

I hope that's a contributing factor in why he left tbh
My guess is that because Dorian comes from a prestigious family, his preference for men gets in the way of marriage and making babies.
Wow. Well it looks like I'm late for the dance party.
I'm glad that we got confirmation on this, even though we pretty much all knew it was going to be the case. I cannot wait for my male qunari warrior inquisitor to get some of that stache. It is going to be glorious.
*throws confetti*
In World of Thedas it was described as "selfish" and "deviant" behaviour in Tevinter. This would suggest parents moaning to their friends about their odd son. Plus it says this only applies if you are having m/m relations with other nobles - you can do it as much as you want with slaves.
Now it is described as "shameful" and "deviant" behaviour in Tevinter. Which suggests his parents would do anything to keep other Magisters from knowing what he is up to and would not be encouraging relations with slaves since that would be even more demeaning. (I'm only guessing about the last part)
I'm wondering if what happened to Alexius' son was in some way connected to his past relationship with Dorian. So Alexius did something to him because he found them together.

This, most likely. Dorian probably resents Tevinter for trying to force him to become a baby maker against his will. It would be really ironic if that was his main (or even sole) point of contention with Tevinter (i.e. "How dare they try to make me have sex with a woman...! *gasp* The horror! *faints) and he was totally cool with slaves/blood magic, etc

I swear he's written gay characters before though. Wasn't there a male couple in The Calling?
