I'll probably romance him with a non mage human.  I haven't decided between warrior or rogue yet though.  I might go with a human rogue first and then do it again with a dwarf warrior if that's an option.

A male human mage. I will go the clever route with his personality with a side of sympathy for the helpless. That way his romance will be perfect as they get to know each other.

Aww, well I am going to make a femquizy to romance Sera with and I'll probably play all the romances eventually. I know some people do not enjoy role playing opposite genders though.

I don't know! I can't decide between my human warrior, my dwarf warrior and my qunari rogue.

 

It depends a bit on who the other romances are and which ones are straight and bi. I need The Chart so I can plan properly.

I'm going to romance Dorian with a Dalish rogue.

Since Dalish are pariah who drift away from human society because they refused to bend the knee...well I think they'll have some stuff to talk about.

And Dalish are respectul with mages and are ruled by mages (Keeper) .

I think my Dalish is going to have a big culture shock and just won't understand how humans can live like they do.

Dalish live with a social structure more close to the Qun ( everybody has a role supporting the clan ) although it's mostly from necessity , they'd die out if they were more selfish.

So I'm looking forward to the dynamic of this couple where my Dalish is going to fully support Dorian and sometimes look at him and say "Dude , you're crazy".

Was he? I always thought he was white he looked like a white French guy in the concept art and with the videos it looked like he was a white French guy with a tan or in poor lighting.  What pic are you talking about though?

When I do roll up a male Quizzy (probably be a bit down the road, since I've got my female dwarf planned first,) I'll probably be a human warrior.   I've never tried a m/m romance before, but frankly most of the options for m/m never appealed to me before.  My basis for my male Quizzy that I'm picking to romance Dorian is the younger version of Auron from Final Fantasy X.  Like so, minus the grey:

Would be nice to play someone with a outside perspective on the mage-templar issues, since I have a Surana and mage-supporting/ran off with Anders Hawke as my canon import. Cue supportive "I don't know much about magic" boyfriend.

*gasp* Oh no I did Dorian fan art sometime back before his actual announcement as a pale guy with blue eyes because I was going off of the few and far between fan art that was done of him before when his only shots were of a small fuzzy concept art. I'll have to remedy that when there's actually better pictures. I thought it was just the weird lighting noooo. Now I feel really bad, thank goodness I'm going back and redoing the fan art now that there's better pictures. :c

 

I haven't posted in here before but I have had a better appreciation of Dorian since his profile came out a bit back. He certainly seems lovely and interesting from a story and lore standpoint, which depending on how well he gells with my inquisitor he may be my LI for my male elf mage.

I hope we do get some kind of backstory. I'm playing TOR and half of the class stories we get no hint at what our PC is like or who they are/were. I don't mind that but I do like to have something. Maybe where they grew up, who they knew, why they are where they are now...

^{I wouldn't worry about the fan art now hun.  You went by what you could see, unlike the 4chan jerks that did that after his full concept was revealed.  You're human and I can tell you didn't mean any harm.  Without that out of the way, please put up some more Dorian goodness!}

 

I love the fact that he's a good hearted Tevinter magister.  I missed out on the comics, though the more I read about Mae, the more I love her. The whole concept of Tevinter being only uber ugly and evil already became shaky for me after reading a couple of letters "in-character" from folks in Tevinter that are in WoT.  Now, I'll finally learn more than just "oh no, slavery/blood magic/abuse."  

 

I know that Tevinter is a really rich culture that I haven't gotten a chance to explore, and I'm looking forward to traveling with Dorian so I can learn more about that culture through his eyes.  Despite some bitterness he has towards leaving, the impression I was left with was he does love his home, and wants to see it improve.

 

At this point, I have a mage slot saved.  I'm really torn between Dorian and Solas.  Frankly, at this point, it's going to come down to who fits in with my set-up.  Some of the "team building" going on is pretty tough for me, because I'd need to see the mechanics and how they flow first.  Dorian is starting to edge out Solas, but I'll wait and see.  I have to admit, Dorian's story has me a little more curious than Solas', due to the aforementioned Tevinter connection.
