But on topic, has Dorian's voice actor been revealed yet? I've been busy getting everything together for a trip, so I haven't really had the chance to check anything.

Now that Dorian is confirmed gay, do you think he had a relationship with Felix? I think it makes a lot of sense now.
I could see it. Or, it's possible that they had more of a brotherly relationship. Just because he's gay doesn't mean they had to be lovers.

Well poo. And I think it'd be nice if Felix was just a friend. Even if Bioware does tropes well, the 'My ex-lover is dead,' one is, well, pretty well beaten by Bioware for their male LIs.

It might also be a bit reminiscent of how we recruit Anders. Which would then make it pretty awkward to try romancing him.

Indeed. I'd rather not have that again. Similar to Anders in the whole dead ex-lover thing would be the way that the devs would reveal a character was in a same sex relationship. In all honesty, I'd like Felix and Dorian to just have a brotherly relationship.

I hope not.Because I'll be honest ...If this is the case , he saw his ex boyfriend turned into a walking undead.
Disturbing.
And that would make me even more angry at Leliana , and then I'd have to roleplay telling her to STFU because she's not the only one losing people she care about in an awful manner.

I think it's more likely than not that Felix was an old romantic partner.
This might be cynical (or ignorant!), but I can only really see one reason why they'd write a storyline about a male character from Dorian's past who he had a close connection with, and who has now been raised from the dead by his father and Dorian's old master. Yes, I know, that relationship could be something else, but I just don't think it is.
With a limited amount of story time for each character, they can't really afford to be excessively subtle.

I may be waaaaay off, but I got the impression that the video of the qunari Inquisitor was the result of a lot of, if you'll pardon the expression, "Renegade" player choices that made the outcomes a lot darker. So things with Leliana and Dorian might not play out as shown.

I'm fine with the dead guy being his ex as long as we don't have to always hear about them and be compared to him when we romance Dorian. Ideally he and Dorian would have broken up ages ago, but still Dorian doesn't like to see his corpse get dishonored like that. So instead of getting constantly compared to him we get "thank you for helping me put someone important to me to rest. You're totally awesome"
...ok he doesn't have to say that last part but you get my drift.

I wont be surprised if Felix is Dorian's ex, but I'd rather it wasn't. It's pretty uncomfortable to be romancing him if you're going to see his undead ex get his throat violently cut in front of him. Even if they broke up a while ago, that is some pretty heavy stuff.

Please no dead lovers. I've been fed that storyline enough at this point, I can't take another at the moment.

I quite frankly am getting damn tired of it. Why would they need to be subtle? They can flat out say Felix was like a brother to Dorian. And to reveal his romance, all they have to do is have him flirt with a male protagonist, once. Not hard.I think it's more likely than not that Felix was an old romantic partner.

Honestly? The dead lover trope is one I'm getting tired of because of the sheer number of times it's been done and the fact that it's hardly ever subtle. Just once I'd like the death to be from a long illness after a reasonably happy relationship. That's its own kind of drama. I agree it's likely for Dorian. But I think I'm going to wait for a second or third playthrough to romance him so I can know how much melodrama I'll endure.
His charcater doesn't seem melodramatic.
Aveline lost her husband and even if she's not a romance , she's never melodramatic about it.
I don't like the Thane romance because flirting with somebody who's having very vivid flashback of his dead wife was ...well .
It was an experience , I guess.
But all the ME2 romances at least for female Shep were awkward (Garrus always talking about interspecies sex .And well Jacob , Shep was ..not subtle about the whole you're hot, Jacob.+ "the Priiiiiiize)
I don't know about gay romance in ME3.I liked the Steve friendship.

Ok, I don't know the background story of what you're taking about, but maybe it's his brother, and his father wanted to raise him from the dead, because he thinks Dorian failed at being a good son, so he wanted his other son back.

In a way, I sort of wonder if the "Dorian and Felix had a relationship and their parents didn't approve" plot possibility is what they're using for the basis that set sexuality creates a "more fully fleshed out" character.

I honestly think it's just Dorian's old mentor, whom he rejected for his practices years ago, and his son. I don't think there's a deeper connection than that, and there needn't be to introduce his sexuality. I think it'll just serve to highlight how he disconnected from the ways of Tevinter, rather than a "Oh, and that was my boyfriend, too. I'm gay, bee tee dubs." moment.
