Dorian being gay and my favorite companion couldnt have worked out any better for me (love and thanks to bioware as usual).  Now if I can romance Solas and Cullen as a male then :D    :D    :D

I'm totally with you, but I think we'll be lucky to get either Cullen or Solas. lol

I have a feeling Cullen would be the forbidden fruit... I'd take Solas any day tho. Or Blackwall UNFF.

Btw

Noone has really questioned whether Dorian would be the jealous type, huh?

Where do you think Dorian stands on the Mage Circle issue?

Either answer would be fun, but I'd kind of hope he was. (;

I was originally hoping Dorian would be bi and Blackwall gay. I'd still have committed to playing a male character for Blackwall. Unff is right. xD

How do you think he would show jealousy? Like, if you hooked up with another LI before solidifying the relationship or if you flirt with an NPC with him in the party in a relationship? I think he might be for the latter, because they usually get mad about that kind of thing. Of course, group sex is sort of a token opportunity in this series. I guess he will probably not be willing if a chick is involved, so probably it's a no-go with him.

I'd imagine he think's it's nug droppings. When I think of countries that have laws that would restrict me for who I am (a safe® example would be driving, I generally have an aversion to such restrictions; but maybe it wouldn't be the Circle he'd oppose but the rules within them, the Templars - and their like.

I will be very surprised if Dorian isn't for total mage freedom.

I hope group sex is explored as an opportunity rather than a gag this time around however - the nonsense with Zevran seemed ... misplaced in DA2 in my opinion.

As I said, I could see either answer being true, him being open and flirtatious and adoring to either sexual or romantic entanglements - or him being quietly nervous on the subject as his interview implies that the culture he grew up in does not support one such union in his future and he might not want to risk losing a connection with your Inquisitor.

Against it I would assume. He may not like the Impirium but I doubt his opinion is. "hey, I should be locked away in a tower  :wizard: "

I really hope he's confident and unapologetic about his sexuality, whether he's promiscuous or the jealous type. I had enough tip-toeing around the issue with Zevran in Origins.

Didn't Anders and Fenris have some jealous bickery banter if you romanced both of them? I never did it but I think I saw a clip of it on YT or something.

Dorian is meant to be a bit bitchy so their could be some of that I guess.

He's supposed to be the opposite of Viv, isn't he? So I'm guessing he's not a fan? Or simply too fabulous to care...

That's pretty much what I'm interested to see. How exactly is he going to express that? Given his suavity and all.

I didn't perceive that from Zevran. I will also note that I feel that Zevran from Dragon Age (duh) and Magnus Bane in Cassandra Clare's books The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices, are the two best bisexual characters I've ever encountered. Though I've forgotten Oberyn Martell from Game of Thrones ...

Anyway! I can totally understand where you're coming from. When girls are uncertain about their interest in another girl it really irks me, and I hope (and expect) Sera to have had at least one previous partner.

Zevran actually asks you if you're alright with his bisexuality and he seems really hesitant about it. I don't know how it works when you're a female character, but he seems really uncomfortable talking about it at first when you're a male character, to me. I want Dorian to have an, "I don't care if you like it or not," attitude about his sexuality. I don't want to hear him ask if it's alright with the Inquisitor, ever. Whether he talks about another partner or not, though, isn't that important to me.

(If Hawke spent the night with Fenris)

Anders: I can't imagine what Hawke sees in you.
Fenris: It is done. Leave it be.
Anders: Well, good. I always knew she/he had some sense.
Fenris: Do not make light of this. Leaving was the hardest thing I've ever done.
(If Isabela is in the party)

Isabela: Oh, will you two get over yourselves? You're like two dogs around a ****** in heat.
Fenris: We were talking about Hawke. Not you.
(If Isabela is in the party and you slept with her as well)

Isabela: Oh, will you two get over yourselves? I did her/him too.

I was so mad a Fenris - that staying was the hardest thing he'd never done. I was so tempted not to finish his romance when it triggers in the third act, because he'd hurt my Hawke and there was no reason for her to be sitting around waiting for him. But I was glad I caved.

I would expect Dorian's eyes to get hard in jealousy but for him mostly to hold his tongue until he could speak to his Inquisitor alone; but of course - everyone has a boiling point and an outburst requiring later comfort would be satisfactory too.

I wonder how they will handle the initiation of the romance. Will they flirt with you like in DA2? I get the feeling they might not just cause of all that complaining about it from straight male gamers.  <_<

Ah. Zevran did have this conversation with a female Warden too, but at least at the time it didn't bother me. I would completely agree with how you'd anticipate Dorian acting though, and I would enjoy him being unapologetic. That's the best way to keep other characters from questioning you, at least in a fictional world ...

Possibly, but Cullen is way too popular amongst both the ladies and us gay guys to be denied as bisexual IMO.

I don't think we should assume that something must happen just because lots of people want it.

If nothing else, that's a poor way to make decisions about development...
