I for one will be romancing Dorian with an Inquisidwarf, unless he's race gated D: ... specifically bc of THIS comic:

I MUST make it happen now
So Dorian is the only gay male option for romance? Are others all bi/not romanceable?
Well... Cullens probably straight maybe...
It's funny, Dorian fits the Necromancer class because he uses spirit magic, and Solas also fits the Rift Mage because she is a "fade expert", but I can't imagine Vivienne as a Knight Enchanter (aka Arcane Warrior 2.0). I don't think she would wield a sword in battle.
I'm very curious to discover how the specializations system will work.

we don't know 100% if he is the only gay companion/NPC available. It seems likely, though, the rest will be a) not romance-able b. straight c) bisexual or d) other. Some may be race-gated too. But again, we only really know that Dorian is a LI for a male inquisitor, Sera is a LI for a female one, and Cassandra/Cullen are both romance able but we don't know by whom.
Short answer is nobody knows. Lots of speculation, lots of assumptions but nothing definite. At least we know about Dorian.
What would make the most sense to me is 1 straight male/female LI, 1 gay male/female LI and either 1 or 2 bi male/female LI's.
Considering the race gating, it'd make more sense to go with a larger number of LI's so I'd say 2 bi's are a good bet.
To everyone: What do you think Necromancy will be like? Also, do you think Blood magic is involved?
Well you can always ride the bull. :v
I can't waiting no more! xD
Personally, I am hoping Necromancy is less "raising the dead" and more "manipulation of spirit energies as they relate to death," like maybe as Dorian kills people, his spell power gets stronger, or can link enemies together spiritually, so their health decreases in tandem, etc.
I'm fine with a bit of skeletal summoning, but after a while... it just gets redundant.

Aimo? It looks like Aimo's art.
Yeah, I love aimos art ![]()
They've said pretty clearly that every gender/sexuality combination would get at least two options spread over the races. Meaning, there will be at least two options each for hetero-males, hetero-females, gay-males, lesbian-females, but you might not always have access to all available options for your gender/orientation depending on what race you play as. I don't think that's really in the grey area anymore, they've said a bunch of times that 4 bi LIs was the minimum they'd do so they could offer choice. It doesn't seem ambiguous anymore. There will be at least one more male character available to male Inquisitors, I think it's fair at this point to say that much.
Rift mage seems to me to be more of manipulation of rifts/tears to simulate localized teleportation or other such feats.Didn't Cameron Lee or someone say that Necromancy would fit an evil character "well" or something? If true, that makes me think it will involve some health siphoning / dark arts things beyond simply raising the dead.
I'm also curious as to how the Rift Mage and the Necromancer will really differ. Besides pets, I guess.
Yeah, I love aimos art
This is my favorite one. ^^

Lol, I believe this Aimo comic had nothing to do with race gating so much as having this dwarf be in a romance with Cass and not interested in Dorian, cause I've seen her draw this guy paired with Cass several times.I for one will be romancing Dorian with an Inquisidwarf, unless he's race gated D: ... specifically bc of THIS comic:

I don't know, Cassandra has seemed that way since Dawn of the Seeker, to me. ![]()
I know but I mean in the game itself, if Dorian ends up being race gated for dwarves... ;--;

Lol, I doubt he'll be race-gated for dwarves.

you never know vov
If Dorian's a necromancer, I want to be able to make "raising the dead" sex puns. I insist on this option. It writes itself.

INQUISITOR: Well, I'll let you raise my dead.
DORIAN: ....
INQUISITOR: That was terrible. I'm so sorry.
DORIAN: You've certainly killed the mood.
INQUISITOR: Well, perhaps I can try to bring that back to life?
DORIAN: [SIGH]
