Anyhoo... I'm kinda looking forward to interactions between Cassandra and Dorian. Given Cass's past experience with blood mages and the stance Tevinter has on the issue, i foresee many innocent pieces of furniture stabbed.
I think Dorian might be one of those people who keeps poking Cassandra's sense of propriety and duty until he gets a reaction out of her. And I also can see him teasing Cass about her romantic side.
Hmm, the Blood Magic bit... maybe...? I mean, Dorian wants to reform/restore honor to Tevinter, and he is basically standing up against traditions to do what he thinks is right. So I suppose she'd respect him for that.

Him or Solas are my bets. Though from what I've heard of the behind the closed doors demos, it seems that Healing might be merged into the Spirit skill tree, rather than being a skill tree/specialization of its own. That'd be nice if it is the case, since that'll allow us to customize any of the mages we like into being a healer, rather than being stuck with only one of them whom we might dislike.
I would hope this is the case considering that I'm hoping that I as an elven mage play as the party's supportive ******.... I mean Healer, while Dorian is my damage dealer, hex slinging saboteur. In any case, I do think it'd be wise if they made specializations unique enough so that they don't define a party's role "tank, dps, healer" and that any character with any spec with the appropriate class can fill any appropriate role oyu want them too.
Still I think it'd be funny if he was a Healer.
Another random thought beamed into me but I just wonder how a party of him, vivienne and solas would turn out, completely different mages with what magic should be used for and how they use it. Though maybe it'll just end up in Vivienne and Dorian taunting Solas for his fashion and choice of or rather lack of a haircut.
Not to hate on Solas, I think he's gorgeous and fascinating :3

Here, finally found it:

@user: Could you please tell us how old will the Inquisitor be in Inquisition? Will he/she be early 20s like before or older and experienced?
@Mike_Laidlaw: Some indeterminate age over 20 and under 40

Also, I found this during my search. You guys have probably seen it before, but I haven't. My god, he's just gorgeous! (I wonder if the Freddie Mercury similarities are just coincidental. I mean, even his facial animations match... Won't believe them no matter how they might deny it!
)
Oh good, then the 20-40 quote I've been telling people isn't total crap. lol
I wonder how Sera and Solas will interact with Dorian?
We all know about how Tevinter treats elves and I wonder if this will create any friction between them. We know that he's an anomaly that despises his culture and all of the horrible things it does but the characters might not be so forgiving. It seems to me like someone as fiery as Sera is likely to give him a lot of hassle for it whilst I expect Solas is a bit more understanding.
I don't think Solas really identifies as "an elf". He seems like a major loner than doesn't really identify with any social or political faction. I think Dorian might pick on Solas's fashion sense, like Vivienne does, though. I feel like maybe they might get along better without Vivienne there too? Or maybe not, I'm not sure. It seems like Solas and Dorian have more in common, really, than either has with Vivienne, though. I think Sera wont like Dorian. Her profile says something about not liking people who are good at things too easily, or who don't seem to have to try for power and I think Dorian will seem like that to her.
tbh I don't think Sera will mind too much. I mean sure she sounds fiery but I don't know, I somehow see her as the type to be more accepting. @_@ I might be reading too into it But that's just me. And I wouldn't count Solas out, I mean sure he seems zen and all but y'know what if Dorian gets him going? And not the good kind.
Well, Sera will only call Cole "it", so she's not all that accepting. I imagine a Tevinter necromancer only pings a little lower than spirit boy.

I think Sera will hate Dorian. It's strange because I have the opposite feeling about Sera.I think she has an very precise idea about people like Dorian (born into nobility etc...) and I think she can be quite mean and short signed.

Good point I totally forgot that it is confirmed that she does not like Cole at all. So maybe I was wrong xD All I know is that this will be the most interesting group of companions yet!
Also I know it's a little far off and all but i wonder if our MaleQuizzy will be able to marry Dorian in the end if we romance him. I'm hoping, despite being prepared for heartbreak, because we've had pretty tragic romances especially in DA2 where almost every single romance sans Sebastian is truly resolved in a "happy" ending even if you do the best options. IE you and everyone else pretty much become fugitives if you sided with the mages, but even if you became vicount, you end up disappearing. And DAO was a little more resolved in that you can marry Alistair, but Morrigan poofs unless you do Witch Hunt, Leliana clearly is not with the Warden anymore, neither is Zevran with DA2 so yeah. *hoping for magical MaleQuizzy/Dorian babies, and not the mpreg kind*
I suppose I forgot to mention a (possible) third elf in the group, that is the Dalish Inquisitor. I wonder what sort of options you'll have available to you as an elf, when confronted with a man that comes from the worst thing to ever happen to your race.
Although he's cast aside his place in Tevinter, he still identifies as being from there and that's more than enough to attract a lot of ire. I would have preferred it if he maintained some of the traditional Tevinter views so that we could explore their mindset through him but I suppose this as close as we'll get to that.

Okay, if a fanart of Droian doing the iconic Freddie M. pose hasn't happened before, it had to happen now. WIP doodle o' Dorian, by yours truly:

(I'm so sorry. I'll show myself out...)
If anyone with actual talent wants to take a crack at this, you have my blessing. It's not like it's a unique idea anyways. I'm sure somebody has done it before.

As far as I know they said no marriage and no babies in DA.
So...
But I've romanced Alistair and Fenris and both romance were...well you have some low point for sure. But also some very gratifying stuff.
You can have a "happy" ending with Fenris and Alistair.Or some very traumatic ones (I'm still recovering from the death of those two in my first playthrough.I'm a LI killer...I didn't even want them to die...)

I feel like a total derpface because I was like "Omfg my elfquisitor is gonna be so enamoured with him and he's gonna be all lovey dovey and blah* and now I just remembered how that will play with the whole Tevinter thing.... Dear I'm just creating drama xD

I know your pain hahah. That happened when I first played DAO, I was sort of playing two saves at a time, one was my canon Dalish Elf and the other was my female human noble for funzies just to romance Alistair since I couldn't without mods. I ended up finishing on the noble first and at the end when Morrigan wanted to bed Alistair to save him I was like, no ****** I'll find a way. And.... I didn't.... ;_;
Now that you mention it I vaguely recall thems aying something about no marriages and babies in dai @_@ darn, well I hope that they'll have at least some romantic happy ending that is truly a happy ending.

I don't think Dorian will actively antagonize an elven inquisitor, but maybe there'll be some minor race-specific conversations you can have with him. (Just remember that they're unlikely to rewrite the whole romance arc for an inquisitor of a different race. So an elf would be mostly treated in the same way as a human or dwarf or qunari.)
In my first playthrough, my Amell and Alistair entered the Love stage literally in the last level of Fort Drakon before confronting the Archdemon, and because Dragon Age fails to register Love Status unless you've banged your LI, Alistair was totally cool with my warden sacrificing herself. They then had posthumous sex after the credits rolled. I still have nightmares about that...
It's sad to think that while I'll probably adore Dorian (well I already do), my elven Inquisitor's first (and possibly only) words for him will probably be "So, how many slaves did you own?" She isn't exactly a forgiving person. But that's also why I'm not totally bummed about him being a gay LI; my main Inquisitor wouldn't romance him anyhow.

Well, in such a desperate situation, I think it's quite silly for the Inquisitor to shun characters over cultural and philosophical decisions. You're trying to save the world and that means you need help, not that you need to agree with the people that you're fighting alongside.
That's why I wish Dorian had a point of view more typical of Tevinter. It'd allow for lots of debate and discussion about slavery and blood magic and all of the other evil little things that they are guilty of, with Dorian actually defending it and coming up with reasons for it. I just don't understand all of the kneejerk reactions from people who'd kick characters out of their group left, right and centre over relatively small differences.

Oh, nobody will be kicked out of my Inquisition (mostly because my own desire to see as much content as possible trumps my characters' feelings
), the Inquisitor will just be horribly passive-aggressive towards the shems she doesn't like.
I'm pretty sure Dorian himself would tell you to burn this photo and all traces of it on the internet.
It's like someone placed him under a red light source, stepped on his foot, and snapped an instant shot of him as he winced in pain.
Dorian is not amused.
Let's ogle at actually flattering photos pls.

I still think he looks equally gorgeous even in unflattering poses and with unflattering expressions. But lets hope they'll release new screenshots of him (and Cass please
) soon. Or his character kit. Because I still can't figure out his robes no matter how hard I try.
But this shot of him is the sexiest:

Awesome pose much?!! And look at his nose!

All we know about Sera's opinion on Cole is one out-of-context comment in that interview. I think it is best to assume that her opinion can change, since that has always happened to a greater or lesser degree with all Bioware companions.
But, back to Dorian....

Ahahaha I agree with you there, and then copies of it would be popping up all around the Keep and he would make it his personal mission to find the culprit.
He looks far too much like my brother for me to ogle him though, but I'm excited to get to know him on a purely friendship level. The stories he will be able to tell about Tevinter, I can't wait!
