I'm not. Mages are loaded guns, need some sort of enforcement. The way it is now isn't working but letting them be free to roam wherever isn't something I think should be done. Unless there is a way to curb posession and blood magic.

It's a very unpopular opinion on here, I know.

Appearance alterations are simple coding swaps in the character file. At least they should be... I doubt that's changed.

lol, don't get me wrong, I like both, but it would be nice if Cullen is the bi option, so I can make alternating playthrough without making a female file. 

This is how I feel.  Dorian is definitely my first and "canon" LI, but I think a mage romance with Cullen would be fascinating, seeing as he has to have a lot of emotional baggage on the subject.

I think one of the devs said they won't be revealing the "meeting the companions" cutscenes because they want to save it for the game - which is absolutely the best way to do it, IMO.

I actually hope this is the case.  I don't have enough willpower not to view them ahead of time, but it does kind of spoil the magic in the game when you've seen some of the best bits already.

While I agree, I'll say that I saw the meeting Fenris // gameplay video they released in the development of DAII, and I didn't feel that magic diminished.

I'll be really torn if Dorian and Cullen are both m/m relationships, because I want to romance Dorian with my human mage, but a mage would also be great with Cullen. I don't want to play mage twice, though. I'll probably end up romancing Cullen with an elven rogue, even though mage would be interesting.

 

But I did the Anders romance as "two mage rebels" and I'd kind of like to romance Dorian as a mage, also, for the comparison of (hopefully) a more emotionally stable mage duo. lol

What? You're crazy. You should play a mage at least three times to try each specialization; and try out the resulting companion banter. xD

I generally don't play the same class as whom I romance at least the first time I romance them; it also tends to add mysticism to the list of attractive qualities a non-mage can see in a mage.

Well, I usually only play twice. lol  

 

With mages, I kind of like playing mages to romance them. It just feels more comfortable to me to be able to understand mage issues first hand while romancing them. At least with characters like Anders and Dorian that have a lot of their character tied up in mage issues. With someone like Solas, it actually probably wouldn't matter.

I'll romance Dorian first with my male elf, I'll romance Cullen with my female warrior. I am actually pretty happy because perfect LI's for my first two characters have already been confirmed. If Cullen is bi I will probably romance him with a male at some point but If I had to chose between him and the bull I would pick the bull.
