You know I'm a 100% supportive of having a gay romanceable character. I wasn't convinced of the whole bi-romanceable-and-available for our convenience just because we play the main character.

I saw stand up comedian Doug Funk this evening, and I thought you all might like this joke:

On that note, to stay on topic ... sort of, as I'm still deviating from the deliciously devious content on display; I've seen people in the forums, but not seen any dev statements, saying that there's to be no marriage or children in DA:I , but if there were, do you headcanon Dorian wanting a family life, and just not the one his parents chose for him? Or not at all?

I don't really see Dorian as the wanting-to-have-kids type. Then again we know very little about him (lots of speculations, yes). I think it would be entertaining to see him change diapers.

It's a little difficult to tell since we only know a fraction of his background and personality. I have a feeling that he may entertain the idea of a domestic life, but will ultimately remain childless. One of the reasons he left Tevinter was because he rejected his family's desire for an heir. Regardless of whether or not he has siblings to continue the noble Pavus bloodline, he doesn't seem too concerned either way.

I don't know. I can both see / speculate what you're saying, but I can see Dorian milling about mentor-student relationships, and not being adverse to that aspect of a similar relationship. Additionally, based on the changes he hopes to see in his homeland, I would suspect he'd want to start at the earliest point of communication with his people. Decisions would need to start with the adults, but attitudes / behaviors have to be taught to children. Whether such a behavior would be paternal or just professorial (@_@ I could not believe that was a word).

It wasn't a serious question, and I wish to separate desiring a life free of a (if only initially) loveless marriage for the purpose of producing an heir as different than the desire to parent a child.

I also do not think there would be any similar speech addressing children in the game, but thought I'd try to tie in my nonsense to Dorian.
