As a female player, a gay Dorian works just fine...I'm so glad that the developers have said that there is no way you can play the entire game on one play through, given the effects of your various decisions. That will give me ample opportunity to play various gender/race/class combinations...first will probably be a warrior male - I find that slash & bash works best for me as I learn the game mechanics (in that, I suck at combat lol) - what can I say, I'm a lover, not a fighter. I guess, for me, there is no LI that is off limits...just requires some prioritizing, which will be determined by which LIs I like most during my first play through.

I find it funny that so many people were complaining how "all male love interest had been these boyish, slim, shaved, young men". Now we got some manly stuff with a classy moustache and people are still complaining. Actually more than ever. Well, you can't please everyone, I guess.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't really understand how Dorian's appearance is stereotypical? Most gay men that I have seen in media, were clean shaved boys. Then again, feel free correct me. I haven't seen too many movies after all.
And his sense of fashion? I know a bunch of boys who have a strong sense of fashion and who are not gay. It's just different for every individual. Your sexual orientation doesn't have to be the reason for your fashion-sense.
His moustache gives me kind of an "I am a classy gentleman and - frankly speaking - I don't give a damn about your opinion about me haha"-vibe. I like that. A lot.
I like that....a lot... too.

Excuse me it was actually about Dorain's facial hair.
It seems like most people like the 'stache.
Seriously though who the fladoodle is Dorain xD
Anyway, the minute I saw him in concept art I knew he was gonna be memorable for something. His mustache was just too great and I was just so happy when DHMG developed on this very board. It's the same reason why I liked the direction with Sera's uneven hair or Vivienne's horny hats, they're such memorable design choices that I personally find very attractive.

God damn it, Ymir, can you just stop? Please? Your habit of giving me unrealistic expectations is quickly going beyond the character of Dorian in Inquisition and spilling over into real life. So... stop that.

I agree 100% with you. I saw some people complaining about Dorian's appearance being sterotypical, and that they knew he'd be gay before it was revealed, but I don't understand - What is stereotypical about having a mustache?
And I also hope Dorian will be a gentleman like character.

It could be that he looks fashionable? Like he actually cares for his appearance more than the typical straight man, I guess? That in itself could be a stereotype, but it could've also been indicative of his class too. I always thought he looked like a dandy man.

Inquisitor: Any last minute advice?
Dorian: Don't die.
Inquisitor: Sage wisdom coming from a necromancer.
Dorian: If I brought you back I'd be one of those mages. Plus reanimated bodies are nowhere near as warm and cozy as the real thing.
Inquisitor: Dare I ask how you know that?
Dorian: If we get through this in one piece perhaps I'll tell you.

Or, you know, it might have something to do with the fact that he is of noble blood in Tevinter. Raised to be as such?

I'd like to say I really like Dorian's profile and his nose.
I think he has a little bump on it?
I confess I have a nose "thing".
And at this rate me playing female first ...well I'm weak.Don't think I will be able to resist this man.
I give up I'll make a lovely Dalish dude for Dorian.
Pffff stupid sexy Tevinter mage.
