I keep imagining that the Venatori are not necessarily responsible, but they are enforcing it, rushing the expansion of the rift. Perhaps they knew what would happen, like with Sandal. Yet something else is the cause.

I decided a while ago that I'm rolling a male first. Don't know what sort or what class but dammit if they will not be sexy and swarthy! I never play as a man if I have the option not to and I figure I should probably do so. It was a big toss up between which gender because I finally feel like I might have the option to properly explore an openly gay PC for once. Might being the key word. You can agree to disagree on that with me, as well. I personally think at this stage I'd like it for my PC to state it.

I feel the same. I always roll a female in RPG:s first, because playing a female is an option that's denied to me most of the time in games, so when it's there I want to take advantage of it and play as a super extra awesome lady, kicking ass and saving the world. It just pleases me to do that. But this time, because of Dorian, I think I'm going to roll a male first, for the first time ever. And it's not cause he happened to be gay and I can't romance him with a lady inquisitor, because I was thinking about romancing him with a male and hoping he was gay before we knew. That's the power of the moustache, to be sure

 

And yes I also hope we can state openly we're gay. I want my character to be allowed to come out of the closet! (I just hope the CC will be better this time around and it will be easier to create them sexy males...)

My current favorite theory is that both the Venatori and the Red templars work for the Big Bad, but for different reasons.

She tried to sue them for the name which spurred the jokeabout being sued in the film. I can't watch that movie because I get pissy about it. I'm a massive Hedy Lamarr fanatic, heh. I think she had a pretty sad life and struggled a lot with her fame and the loss of it.
