I'm of the opinion that Dorian and Felix were lovers at one point.

I sincerely want them to just have a brotherly relationship. I'm gettin' really tired of the gay love interest having to kill his former lover. I had enough of that crap with Anders.

Well, Felix is technically killed by Leliana.
Though judging by the demo, I don't think Dorian and Felix had a romantic relationships. As I don't think he had with Alexius.

What, you don't like the Kill Your Gays trope?  I don't really think they were in a relationship. The dialogue we thought implied they were was actually for Alexius, not Felix. So, who knows? 

 

Plus it would show that a straight guy and a gay guy can be friends! *gasp*

Well, when the Inquisitor talks to Dorian to comfort him after, they talk about Alexius, not Felix. He talks about how Alexius was "the man to which he compared all others" after Inquisitor says she knowns "he" was important to Dorian. That sounds like he's talking about his mentor, Alexius, to me. So, unless he was involved with Alexius (hey, there's a lot of Greek references, I'm not ruling it out) then I'd say he's mostly there for his bond with Alexius and maybe a feeling of responsibility for the work they did. Probably not for Felix, since he doesn't mention Felix.

Agreed  I mean, there are more ways to indicate a gay character than him having dead ex-boyfriends.

Thankfully, it seems that's the case anyway. Seeing the actual dialogue I get much more of a "father figure" and/or reverence vibe from his relationship with Alexius and I strongly suspect his relationship with Felix is more of a surrogate brother type because of that.

 

Also, I haven't had a chance to say this yet, but: Dat voice, dat face, dat hair, unf, my body is ready, etc etc.

Yeah I'm bored of exes getting involved with the gay/bi characters. it was fun a few times but lets mix it up a bit

I feel like you might be able to compare his and Alexius' relationship with Leliana and Marjolaine's. Perhaps without the romantic side? Not sure. I guess we will find out.,

Is it weird that I read the title of the thread and thought, "Wait. What did I say?" Then I remembered the amazing demo I watched before work... and felt like an idiot.

Dorian's voice is even more suave than I imagined it to be. Also, I noticed Alexius using that one line over and over... Is that where the thread name comes from?

Gosh, I wish they'd show us a little of the elf inquisitor! I've been dying to see him since the grey models months ago! Mostly because I want to see the height ratio between them  I don't want him looking down at me like a child the whole time.

Look at War Table pic, AlexWk, elves seem to be of same, if not a little smaller, height.

Who knows if Jowan is truly dead. He was sent back to the tower, but he could easily be made tranquil or kept locked up.
