I feel there's something magnificent and enlightening I can add, but then I just get distracted by Dorian.
On a more serious note: I don't believe he'll be like Anders at all. In act, I can see him being rather cross at his methods. After all, you don't help people see your race/country/people/existence in a different light by giving the majority reason to see it in an even worse version of the light they already see it in.
I like Anders, mind, and I do believe he was backed into a corner, both by what he was watching go on and by Justice. I just feel Dorian might have very different views. Maybe even views that are more idealistic than they should be?
~*~speculation~*~
Well Dorian seems like a maybe arrogant PR guy, Anders didn't care much about his reputation.
But I wonder if both are suffering from their idealism , because Anders was unhappy , he thought screwing everything up for everybody was fine. Not all mages are against the circles. Some just wanted some reform.
I can imagine Dorian may also think he has a huge back up in Tevinter , and it may not be the case. The Imperium is not in a great situation , but they are still standing.Dorian is fighting against traditions holding the place for centuries.
Besides the slaves over there tends to rebel and they have the Qunari putting pressure on them.
Good thing about those magisters is , they tend to unite to beat their foes.
And why would people change their mind about Tevinter anyway?
Unless Dorian is bringing an army of Tevinter mages with him to help , I'm not sure people will notice him...It's like thinking people will change their minds about the Qunari because The Iron Bull joins the fight.
Dorian , forever alone. That's how I picture him.
