Inquisitor: What was that about "finesse"?I fondly remember the "Open Lock Spells" mod for DA:O, for when you didn't want to run with a rogue in your party. Surely some enterprising mage would have created a spell to unlock doors and chests.
I would like my first party to be mage (me), Dorian, Solas, and Blackwall because I'm just not feeling any of the rogues atm.
Mostly petty reasons. Sera's voice grates, I've been known to forget Varric exists, and Cole's creepy. More importantly, I like Dorian and Blackwall best. Not so sure I'll like Solas, but he seems interesting, and I want to make sure I get the banter.Any particular reason why? Varric seems to have a Bilbo Baggins-like aversion to joining/working for the Inquisition so he's probably not going to be as friendly at first.
Dorian looks so damn amazing in that fanart. Just too glorious for me to handle.

Literally everything I've seen of Dorian is him being paired with an elf, qunari or human. Why is everyone so against a nice Inquisidwarf for Dorian? :v

I liked Varric in DA2, but I'd sort of like to get to know the new people better, especially in the first run. Luckily, I actually like Cole. I think Dorian/Solas/Cole will get a lot of use from me, but Blackwall is another one I like quite a bit. Definitely my favorite warrior.
I'm a bit leery of Sera's voice too, but it sounded okay in the second video (Redcliffe demo), it seems her voice is only grating when she gets excited or is arguing with Iron Bull (so far anyway). Either way it goes though, Dorian is the base of any good team!

Sera's voice is just too shrill and grating, to me. Added to the fact that pretty much everything else I've heard about her character rubs me the wrong way, I'd say she and Iron Bull are the most likely to be causing mayhem back at Skyhold in my game.

Pretty much everything, to be honest. I can't really think of anything I like about Iron Bull.
Not that it's a huge issue, for me. I don't expect to like all the companions. I wont necessarily dislike what he adds to the story.

I'd be fine if, at some point, they decided to pursue a romantic or sexual relationship with each other. It would actually be a welcomed change from the background romances/flings that seem to be exclusively happening between opposite-sexed companions.
No. If both are unromanced and left in the Skyhold too often together, the Iron Bull, Cullen, and potentially Solas ride into the sunset and found a nudist colony on the Wounded Coast.
Edit: but in seriousness I would be fine with it. I just hope they double check all their triggers/flags so that Dorian does not flirt with the Iron Bull or what have you if you are already in a relationship.
