I'd be fine if, at some point, they decided to pursue a romantic or sexual relationship with each other. It would actually be a welcomed change from the background romances/flings that seem to be exclusively happening between opposite-sexed companions.
I'm not a fan of them 2 together personally, but I suppose it would be okay IF I chose not to romance Dorian (or Iron Bull) on that play through. Though my comment was about a Inquisitor that would be romancing Dorian. Mine mine mine mine!
I swear, I saw a guy that looked just like Dorian on the way to the lake today. He had his facial hair and everything, and was driving a yellow Camaro. Bumblebee as a mount in Inquisition semi-confirmed.
And my two cents on the Dorian/Iron Bull thing: I'm personally not for it, but some people like it, and I support that. I don't really see it happening, but in the case it does happen you won't see me making a big deal out of it because in my playthough Kendran Trevelyan will be his one and only ![]()
Ookay. This fanart is my favorite Dorian piece yet. I'm not even that physically attracted to him normally, but this picture of him is like frustratingly beautiful. I'm now frustrated.
I don't like Iron Bull/Dorian together because of the way the Qun treats mages. It just squicks me out for Bull to be with a mage and keep supporting the Qun, considering. If he left the Qun, I wouldn't care.
Then you're gonna hate me lol.
I was planning on romancing Dorian with a Rogue and then romancing Iron Bull with a Mage. I dunno what race, though, but I have the classes locked in, heh.
Maybe a Qun Mage just for the cliche (I think I've seen a majority of people pair him up with either a mage, an elf, or a dwarf).
As for Dorian/Iron Bull, I'm indifferent about it, mainly because I don't think they fit personality wise. I just don't see them having that good of romantic chemistry. If I were to ship anyone, it'd be Iron Bull and Blackwall. If Dorian weren't gay, him and Vivienne would totally have a rivalmance. But, no, I like the idea of Dorian/Cullen, if I had to pair Dorian with anyone but my Inquisitor.
Inquisitor: What was that about "finesse"?
Dorian: (brushing splinters out of his hair) The door's open isn't it?
YES! Re-purposing explosive spells to open doors CONFIRMED!
Is it just me, or does the sleeve/button of the ElfQuizzy's left arm in this picture look like Dorian's pec and nipple proudly on display? Surely it's not just me seeing this? I must be hallucinating from the thirst.
Dorian, Iron Bull and Sera, most of the time, but I'll switch them out regularly just to hear banter. But Dorian will be mostly permanent for my first playthrough. ![]()

Every time I boot up my PC I am greeted by 1920x1080 Dorian wallpaper. The frustration is strong within me.
I can sympathize with the frustration. I was shipped off to a Pacific island for three weeks to visit family. As much as I love them, and love it there, it is also the Island of "No Usable Internet Oh My God Why Even Bother With The Slow-Ass Dial Up I'll Die Before Anything Loads".
So I had Dorian's lovely face as my background on my laptop for three weeks, but no way to discuss him with y'all to take the edge off. So here I am. Ready to murder someone. Or read through hundreds of pages of Dorian fan discussion. One of the two will have to do. ^-^

It really brings home how precarious Dorian's position is. His class protects him, but I have a feeling the threat of an "abuse of magic" charge is always there.
Tevinter is so nice...Why is Dorian trying to redeem them again? ![]()

I'd imagine that's a reason to leave Tevinter. Less of a chance to get caught and made Tranquil.

I am now imagining Dorian defending the Templar use of the Rite of Tranquility because he has seen what true abuse of it looks like. Blood mages, mages too weak-minded to resist demons and volunteers is probably most reasonable in his eyes.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dorian is gonna turn out pro-templar in general, or atleast to a degree.
I wonder how he views the Circles of White Thedas in contrast to the Imperial Circles. In particular, I wonder what his stance on blood magic is.I wouldn't be surprised if Dorian is gonna turn out pro-templar in general, or atleast to a degree.

I'm curious about that as well.
He is proud of his magical ability though, so I'm not sure that necessarily fits with supporting oversight (and sometimes pre-emptive murder) of magical users.
Dorian's argument might well be that if he can control his magic and remain unpossessed, why can't mages be trusted to use their power responsibly?
Or, on the flip side, he could be a bit more condescending towards White Circle mages who can't keep their act together. He is proud of his magical ability though, so I'm not sure that necessarily fits with supporting oversight (and sometimes pre-emptive murder) of magical users.

The magisters are big hypocrites when it comes to blood magic.I mean in theory it's forbidden , the reality is powerful mages are pushed to use it.
He may have more problem with the hypocrisy than blood magic itself.
And he is wearing white so I'd say he's not using blood magic .
But he's also a necromancer ,it's not evil , but it's a bit meh.
I guess I was trying to say , well I have no idea if Dorian think blood magic is ok.
I mean there's different level of bloodmagic , the templars themselves use blood magic.
