Well, there's a lot more proof pointing towards DHMG being Dorian Pavus than anyone else. Additionally, Ser Michel is a warrior, while DHMG and concept art characters looking like DHMG are shown in robes, even when questing.

 

And could you even imagine Michel having such dramatic hands?

although I think we'll encounter Ser Michel, I can't see him wanting to be sidetracked from hunting Imshael long enough to join up with the Inquisitor, or even act as an adviser...which doesn't seem to be his style, anyway.

I'm still having a hard time reconciling him as both of those characters.  In the one with the dwarf inquisitor, he looks so much older and stuffier and definitely not like a companion.  In fact, it was that picture that originally had me convinced that he was an advisor, like Leliana and Cullen might be.

With his extravagant look, I feel like it makes sense he'll probably have an extravagant personality to match.
