I've been thinking of a Qunari warrior concept to romance Dorian, but I was watching the combat video and I think I'm going to have to scrap that. I thought maybe the Inquisitor version would be more sleek, like the basic Qunari men in DA2, but it looks like they have a similar Mack truck build as Iron Bull. I don't think my ideal fits as well with a human noble, though. Maybe I'll do the second run for him with a dagger rogue. Hmmmmm...

Dorian sounds like he will be useful, But the last thing i want is a DAA Anders from Tveinter.
Which this is starting to sound like.
It wouldn't be an unflattering comparison, IMO. In fact, my dream mage team would probably consist of DA:A Anders, Dorian, and Morrigan. The amount of sass and attitude there would be too good to pass up.

I was thinking about that type of statue, and the Inquisitor paying someone to craft a naked Dorian statue to put in his private quarter in Skyhold. Not awkward at all.Especially if you're just at the friendship stages.
Dorian :Oh I've seen you've been decorating Skyhold lately.Maker , it's lovely.Those plants ,paintings and the table!Mahogany!
Inquisitor :Thanks , Dorian.
Dorian : You have great tast...*see statue* Wonderful , male nudity is a thing of beauty , few artists are able to..*look closer* wait...Does this statue has a moustache?
Inquisitor : Maybe...I...er...haven't really look at it.To be honest.
Dorian: Oh?You should , it is a piece of art.It kind of...remind me of someone?
Inquisitor:Mmmmmm...No , no .
Dorian:I'm sure I've seen this person befo...oh wait.
Inquisitor: So what about that table?! It cost a fortune !
Dorian: *awkward silence* I should go.

I didn't care for Anders back in DAA though because he was basically Alistair as a Mage though...

True, but I needed a Spirit Healer and Anders fit the bill. Though Nate was always in my party too. ![]()

Dorian: ...and if you tweak his mustache it opens a secret passage to the War Room!
Inquisitor: How much did this cost?
Dorian: About half of the money you gave me to furnish the hold.
Inquisitor: I take it that the sculptor charges extra for pants?

I wonder how Dorian would behave and act towards a straight male Inquisitor that like him as a really good friend / best of friends ?
From the info we have gotten from so far, he genuinely seems to be a really nice man to be around. I am sure that he would be a regular party member in my playthroughs and I would really hate to hurt his feelings if he started hitting on my Inquisitor.
The reason for this is because I have actually been approached and even been hit on by gay males in real life. I have many gay male friends and I have no prejudices of any sort against gay men so I have no problems hanging out and around them.
It gets really awkward when the whole propositioning thing happens. Because on one hand, I feel I can explain rationally to them that I like them a friends, as bros, that they look handsome, they look well groomed but I don't want to have sex with them because I am not into that. On the other hand, I feel guilty because I feel that I am friendzoning them.
I hope that awkward debacle does not happen with Dorian. Would hate to hurt his feelings unnecessarily.

I don't think there's going to be problems with the whole "I don't like you that way ",Ishten.
Dorian seems like a pretty confident and relaxed guy , and he's a bit arrogant , so he may laugh and tell you "well your loss" and move on.
I wouldn't worry.

I don't see your problem. Turning down someone of an incompatible orientation is like any other turning down. In fact, it might even be easier. Usually when you turn down someone of your own gender saying you don't swing that way, that's it. It's often when you try to turn down someone of the opposite gender, though, that things get long and awkward. Even if you use that line, truth or not.
But I'm rambling. My point is that I don't see why it would be any more awkward for you than turning down female companions you're not interested in.

From the PC Gamer preview:
"“Oh look, a dragon. What a perfect way to ruin our day,” my mage, Dorian, quips."
Mike Laidlaw discusses Dorian in the PC Gamer preview:
“Dorian, he’s fun. A lot of fun. He’s gregarious, outgoing, likeable and he’s from the nation that everyone thinks are bad guys.”"

I think that's gonna depend on where your personal line is drawn. Dorian strikes me as the kind of guy who flirts with straight guys just cuz he knows it makes them uncomfortable and he finds the reactions funny. Not that I know anything about that.
