Definitely a mage, he's using the same staff that I saw Solas use in a different screenshot.

Intrigued! Saw him listed as DHMG, did a search, came here. Hello! I have no idea about him but I thought I'd show my support! I missed out on the anticipation phase of previous Bioware games due to playing them late but seeing some of the threads retrospectively has made me want to join in

Is it just me or does he have some darker skin than previously seen? He looks very tanned.

And yeah, his skin does look a bit darker than in it does in concept art!   A good change, I say.

I'm wondering if we can put the tanned skin into the "he's from Tevinter" evidence column. Most people from Tevinter we've seen have pretty good tans.

And he does share design elements in regards to clothing, with Tevinter concepts.
To be honest when i watched the video, I stared at the greaves for the most part, the shape on it reminded me of the Tevinter heraldry. Though I might be biased, seeing as I've been stalking this thread for the possibility of having a Tevinter companion.

As a side note, I really like how that part of the trailer suggests that the camps in DA:I will be dynamic: not just companions standing still in the same spot, but sitting in chairs, walking around, etc. Exciting!

Maybe they meant the greaves, because that is the only place i've seen anything like it.

Ha!  As much as I love Raphael Sbarge, I think he's done more than enough as the male LI lead in two different Bioware games.  I was actually watching Independence Day the other day and thought about how much I like him as a voice actor, though.

 

I just don't want DHMG (Dorian) to have a dead ex-wife (husband).  No more Carth Syndrome!

Unless they're suggesting that wavey pattern on his boot is that, I can't spot it.
