I'm curious to see what will be shown at Gamescom.  It seems like they are backing away from telling any more info on companions and plot.  I guess it's crafting and skyhold next.     I hope there's Dorian themed decorations, or the upcoming news will be full of disappointment.  -crosses fingers for the Dorian statue-

I feel that Dorian will be one of the most interesting guy in the group. I would have already taken him in my team if it weren't for Vivienne, another mage. I only need one. In the demo we saw Dorian vulnerable. Next time I want to see a scene where he seems to be arrogant, cocky as he should be ! Show us the fabulous Dorian !

I already did as well as tweet to Gaider. No dice. They're ignoring us!! I think they'll probably confirm Indira Varma before the others, as she is in GoT (which is the hot thing right now) and Gaider has mentioned Viv's VA before.

I'd be content to hear no new information until the game comes out if we can at least get a snippet of the famed Dorian/Vivienne rivalry. I think that's our best chance of hearing the witty, sarcastic, and arrogant side of Dorian shine through. It's interesting how they're featured in gameplay videos together, but never in the same party. I guess we're not ready for all that fab to be thrown in our faces just yet.

I never would've guessed that he named Morrigan after a LARP character. I thought she was named and modeled after Morgan le Fay/Morgana. It's good to know where David derives his inspiration from when it comes to naming characters.

On a side note, he tagged this post with the name 'dorian pavus.' Does this mean his surname is official then?

I think that's very true! I don't necessarily name my PC after another character or because of what the name means, I might have heard it and thought, "heh, that sounds like the kind of name I want my PC to have." Voila. Just suits them. Dorian suits his name, imho... at least, from what we have seen and read and all that, it seems like it suits him.

 

Now, if the name translates to, "scruffy butt herders" in another language? Well, we may have a problem. A very amusing problem.
