I feel like I'm the only person on this thread who doesn't have a thing for moustaches 

I'm not a huge fan of mustaches myself tbh. Dorian pulls it off nicely though. It's not a porn/plumber stache. It's so artistic.

It's been a while! Hope I haven't been forgotten lol

 

But I've just been really busy, and have only recently seen what's been shown at Gamescom. The Enemy of Thedas trailer was freaking AMAZING! Between the explosions, Dorian, Hawke, and talk of the Elder One, I just didn't know what to do with myself.

I'm sure there are classy porn staches with twirls at the end. Or is that an oxymoron?

It was neat to see Francois Verkerk's example of vintage dandyism, and it totally reminded me of Dorian.

The other day I was in a supermarket and saw a guy with a familiar looking kind of moustache.  I mean, his hair was a different colour and he had stubble and otherwise he looked very different.  But still... he had the moustache.  I must admit to you all now that I went *blink* "Dorian!" in my head.

 

It's a bit sad, really.  I mean, he doesn't even Arl my Eamon or anything like that.  It's just an obsession with everything Inquisitory, I guess.

I've been getting this feeling increasingly as of late myself! It pleases me muchly.

Since the Elder One appears to be the big bad and the Venatori (as well as Alexius, by extension) are closely associated with him, then it would seem that Dorian will indeed be integral to the plot in some way. DG mentioned in the interview that Dorian catches wind of something back in Tevinter; he specifically says:

[DG]: Without spoiling the plot, I’ll say that Dorian got wind of something that his fellow Tevinter mages were doing, and decided to intervene. As he sees it, someone from Tevinter needs to stand up and say, “We don’t agree with what these people are doing. They don’t represent all of us.”

I'm thinking he's talking about the connection between Alexius -> Venatori -> Elder One and the newest trailer sort of implies this might be that something Dorian discovered back in Tevinter. Either way, I'm leaning towards Dorian being one of those heavily plot relevant companions in the game and that's thrilling to know.
