So I have FINALLY pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition game and the Collectors Edition strategy guide so as soon as I get the chance I am going for Dorian ! Forget all the other companions I Want DORIAN!! lol

I never get strategy guides. Are they actually like walkthroughs? Will I get info on Dorian as well as nice physical images of him on paper?

I like strategy guides after I've mangled my first few playthroughs.  They are great for learning about quests you may have missed, and sometimes some nice concept art, vendor, weapons & armor sets, things of that like.  I think I spent almost as much time poring over DAOs guide as playing the game, it was so gorgeous.

They are kind of like walkthroughs they can tell you where certain items are or what paths to take for certain actions . I like to be a completionist wherever possible and with a game that is putting so much info into the crafting aspect I want to know lol . And yes there are usually character profiles and artwork , I believe the one I got has concept art of locations and characters as well . I also want to know when I can get to the flirting !

That's exactly what I have pre-ordered. I don't normally get the strategy guide because I like just playing through the game, at least for the first playthrough, but I'm afraid I'll get to some choices that could result in people getting killed before a walkthrough gets posted online. And I'm super paranoid about getting people killed. Especially Dorian and Varric.

Dorian seems to be the most interesting out of the 9 companions and not just because he'll be the most epic moustache twirling romance option or the most attractive (even though it's true). His dialogue and personality rock. It's like everyone's taking the possible destruction of the world seriously and he's just having fun.

I believe it's Ramon Tikaram (?). If only Bioware would reveal the VA soon. We know everyone's VA except for Blackwall and Dorian.

That reminds me, knowing that Indira Varma is officially voicing Vivienne, I'm waiting with bated breath to hear Vivienne and Dorian sniping at each other. It's easily becoming one of my most anticipated aspects of the game.

YES! Though I'm having trouble composing a balanced party because of it. I'm leaning heavily towards a Male Qunquisitor Mage for my first playthrough - Dorian is in the party of course, so that makes two mages. I like having a warrior and rogue - and with the devs confirming that there won't be an open lock spell (I miss that mod from DA:O), a rogue will be necessary for opening chests - so Vivienne is out. I might have to go full Team YOLO.
 
Dorian and Vivienne will just have to wait for my second playthrough to get their frenemy on.

Dorian thread after a month of s horrible angina i'm back and what do i see , you are all still undressing, objectifying, abusing, drooling all over the place and hiding your unwanted *exectiment* for Dorian and how he looks with or without clothes. Snacks are always good.  I doubt I'll do it every day though.  My memory is suspect at best on a lot of days.  Though I might shoot for that for a little while at least.  If I'm being honest the main reason I did the count down last night was because this thread had fallen to page 2, and I felt like something needed to be done for the sake of greater justice.
