If Dorian doesn't take out a mirror to fix his hair and mustache after every battle, I'll be disappointed.

I don't get the love of the moustache.  I mean, I wear facial hair myself, it's not that I hate moustaches in general.  But as good as Bioware's character designs are, the facial hair always looks like something fake attached to the face.  

 

And, I admit, the curly moustache just isn't my thing.

It takes some time to get used to, I agree, though personally, I can't imagine him any other way. I hear some people say he would look better without the mustache, but mustache or not, his face is always going to be attractive. Especially when he's designed with chiseled features of a Roman statue.

Considering you'd have to be the one to equip it to him, I think you're safe. But I vaguely remember reading on the wiki that they aren't actual dead animals.

But, I can't picture Dorian without it because with all the photo-manips I've seen, he looks naked without it (and not in a good way). But his voice, his style, his personality, his backstory, his characterisation- those are the things I find most charming about Dorian... although, the rest of his look, especially that chiselled jawline and nose, does help.

I'd say, in regards to games at least, save the best for last doesn't really work out (in my experience). If I were you I'd romance Dorian first if you consider him to be the best  because that way, it's all new and exciting!

I find myself agreeing with what others have said about the 'stache. At first I wasn't really interested, but after seeing pictures of him without facial hair *shudders* and those sassy hips I think he may end up being my LI.
