I can understand the disappointment, but I don't think this is true. There are currently two options for m/m romance, which is precisely the same number that everyone except straight female elves has.
*snip*
Dragon Age: Inquisition already has more m/m romances than KoTOR, ME1, ME2 and Origins, and the same number as ME3 and DA2.
I didn't say we would get less options than everyone else, but I doubt we'll get as many as most others. If Blackwall is bi, then that's great for us and sad for straight men/lesbians. But I am looking to say the smart bets are on us and lesbians getting shorted again.
I don't want to say we shouldn't wish for more m/m options, but I am still very grateful for the effort they put in to provide even a measure of equality in this regard. If you think about it, games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect featuring m/m romances are quite groundbreaking in a way - sci-fi or fantasy epics with a gay protagonist? To see something like that in a blockbuster movie might still take a few more years.
I remember when I played DAO for the first time I was already out to my family and friends, but it was still thrilling to be able to express that part of myself through something else that I enjoyed - i.e. gaming. We're all used to engaging with heteronormative content, and hopefully through games like this, people can get over the idea that romancing Dorian, for example, is a "gay romance". It's just a romance. And hopefully one day those distinctions won't be important anymore.
Again sorry for making anyone uncomfortable I was having a conversation with my other friends who want to play the game and romance him , they were genuinely curious because I'm so happy that I am actually being represented in the game that is all
I think the only way we felt uncomfortable about that conversation was uncomfortably excited
EDIT: Does it count as being on topic if I keep putting this mustache pic on my posts:
