I went ahead and (sorta) designed my elf character that plans to romance Dorian. You know, just to gear up for DAI.
I even designed Dorian but - meh. Not as good as the real thing.
Does this mean that Dorian is god of this world? That would make for a fun plot line.
I'm kind of expecting a snarky/serious line along the lines of:
"Please don't die dear, resurrecting your lover makes you one of those necromancers."
To late, I'm a zombie to his love.
Must touch mustache
This is kinda off topic but I'm kinda disappointed/concerned about this whole "the gay community is getting shafted" stuff. It's absolute horseshit. There's a fine line between trying to equalize the playing field in a culture/society that has, up to now, acknowledged only one way of being and preferential treatment. I have no interest in the latter. What I want, what I have always wanted, was for the acknowledgement that sexuality's outside the norm exist and for the fair and accurate representation of those sexualities. To see them as normal human beings instead of a caricature or a humorous side-character. When I watch a show or read a book I'm not looking for a numerically equal number of sexualities presented, I'm looking for whether non-standard sexualities are given the same opportunity to thrive, to be seen as normal. Do you guys know how rare that is? Bioware is by FAR the best developer when it comes to this, a few others support the idea of equality but no one comes close to the level of emotional depth and responsiveness that Bioware does. No one makes them feel as human.
True equality is not going to be found in a 50/50 split guys, that's not what it's about. It's that knowledge that the way you are and the way you live your life is EQUAL to that of the norm, that the depth of meaning and emotion can be just as substantial, as fulfilling. I don't know whether it's cuz Dorian is written by a gay man who is intimately aware of these issues but I feel like he is going to be truly revolutionary in this regard. If it winds up that Dorian as a character and Dorian as a romance gets largely handwaved and diluted into trite cliches then, by all means, gather your pitchforks and torches but don't reduce the ideal of equality to something as superficial as a perfectly symmetrical number split.

Thank you for sharing. I'd miss all the wonderful art if you guys didn't repost here.
Here's a follow up to the VERY NSFW Iron Bull image from a few pages back, this time featuring Dorian - as you might guess, it is also VERY NSFW.

Dorian's ridding the bull.

Hopefully, this is not a dying scene. I got the impression that some characters in the trailer died (Dorian, Sera, Blackwall) ... same as in ME2. : (
It seems they all have a chance to die. Therefore, it's not like they have to die like Leandra, so you can always beat the game having all of them "alive & well".
Btw, they said they altered that scene where Sera "died" so not to spoil anything. And I think they also said it happens pretty early in the game(?). And it's not to mention you're not necessarily will encounter that scenario, it all depends on the choices you'll make.

Yes, but in previous Dragin Age games, female characters couldn't die. Morrigan, Leliana and Isabella survive, no matter what choice I make. ( Isabella frees herself from the Qunari). Merrill was the only one who could die. Male LI's however could always die (except Alistar, who's heterosexual). I just hope, if companions can die, it also affects the female characters this time, not only the bisexual or gay men....

Alistair can die in a variety of horrible ways. The PC can have him executed, or he can die killing the Archdemon. So, yeah, they really need to work on that immortal female/expendable male thing.

yes, okay. I wasn't sure about Alistar anymore (I thought he could just be exiled)...but yes,my problem is the immortal female thing. Either they make the male LI's immortal as well, or they should make the females mortal too.
Kinda late to hop on this bandwagon I know, but I just have to say I was rewatching the Redcliffe demo...this man just has an extremely dreamy voice. It rivals Blackwall's for me.
It is never too late to hop on the "Dorian's voice is dreamy" bandwagon.
EDIT: Hop. Hop, is what I meant. There is no "hope" to be found here.
