Spoiler

I'm a secure enough straight guy that the sex stuff doesn't bother me.  But that being said, I would like more discussions on other aspects of the character.  Things like the tone of his personal story, or his roll in the inquisition, or how he'll get along with other characters.   That kind of stuff.

So does anyone think Dorian has a snowball's chance in hell of making a difference in Tevinter?

I don't really believe in miracles so...I'm going to troll poor Dorian a bit about that.

Besides we've been told he's arrogant , trolling will keep his ego in check , I'm sure.

Anyway even if his idea is a bit crazy , even one person standing up is better than none.

It may be the beginning for something better in Tevinter , but ...I sort of doubt the Altus (the class Dorian is from ) will change , yeah they're ruthless ...

But they survive their empire falling apart (Blight+ massive slave rebellion), then their country send a witch hunt after them , they managed to take power back , they also survived a couple of Exalted Marches and the Qunari...

They are worst than cockroaches.

If you want social changes you need to get rid of those Altus , but chances are they are the best mage around ,and are keeping qunari at bay...

Oh well it's mostly theories  ...I'm existed to talk about Tevinter with Dorian.

That is brilliant. I can't stop laughing at this.

If this thread is too focused on sex, what the hell are some of the others??!?!

This reminds me did all agree that Dorian should wear leather or lace?

Tevinter has really solid similarities to eastern roman empire aka Byzantine empire. They had a lot of slaves, and they were keeping Ottoman empire at bay which ironically had advanced gun power, just like the Qunari. It was only after fall of Byzantine that half the Europe fell to Ottomans.

At least there's someone trying to make a change. Otherwise, nothing will ever be done in regards to Tevinter.

I think that Tevinter needs lots of fixing, and hopefully they can set aside their differences with the rest of Thedas, if only to make the rest of the continent more willing to help them deal with the future Qunari threat. Although regardless, I would hope the rest of Thedas would help them anyway.

There's relatively little sex talk in the Cassandra thread.  Oddly, much of it is speculation on her personality.

That's because Cassandra would break "it" off if you tried being too sexy with her. Also, you don't look at Cassandra chest. Cassandra chest looks at you.

Haha.  Poor Dorian. But sometimes one person is all it takes.  Perhaps the Inquisition can help, but I'm thinking that Dorian's story will help set the stage for the next game.  I have a strong feeling we'll be heading North in DA 4 and the Qunari vs. Tevinter will be in full swing.

In class today, apparently I randomly mumbled something about Dorian while daydreaming. I didn't even know until my friend asked me "who's Dorian?"

I can't wait for November.

This is the main reason why I believe Dorian's storyline has immense potential. If Dorian perseveres with his ideas to help reform Tevinter and actually manages to turn inspiration into action, then I think there will be ramifications that need addressing in a future DA title. It's virtually impossible to change Tevinter in a day, but even the smallest flame can ignite a blaze.

It is pretty clear that Tevinter's presence is one of the main reason why the qunari haven't yet tried to conquer again the rest of Thedas. And it's kind of logical, you don't start to invade the other nations when you have one that can bite you in the back.
At the same time though, the qunari are the main reason why the Imperium didn't try yet to reconquer the continent. Given enough time withoth the Qun's presence, they'd do it.
Thanks the Maker, the Elven Gods, the Old Gods and the Stone that they're too opposite to each other to even think of an alliance, otherwise...goodbye Thedas .

Yeah, just heard about that now. I don't expect Dorian's taste to be less than classy, stylish, and most likely, expensive. He doesn't strike me as too high maintenance, but I suspect my inquisitor will need some money to keep up with him. :P

Debating the sexual preferences of fictional characters like they're actual people just weirds me out a lot, I guess. If this is meant to be the thread where people come to discuss Dorian as a character, his friendship arc, his romance, his role in the story, etc, does it really need back-and-forth arguing about the details of sex? I think that might scare away the majority of people who might be interested in Dorian in DA:I but aren't planning on romancing him.

That guy who analysed Tali's sweat was (correctly) said to be pretty damn creepy, for me there's something unsettling about earnestly discussing what Dorian would want to do in bed. Nobody finds that a bit too involved?

(Never mind that a bunch of the discussion is wrapped up in stupid stereotypes.)

-shrug- I don't see where it's that big of an issue. It's not something I want to discuss, but as long as it is kept at a respectable level of non-detailed discussion...  I mean it seems to be an important issue to some, and it's not like they can open another thread just for that.  It'd be locked so fast.  Though yeah I agree with some that it'll totally be left to imagination most likely.
