Edit: By the way, if you already input the code to gain access to the Keep, will you be receiving codes to give out as well? A very kind member gave me one a few days ago, but I used it just now and I'd be happy to release codes to my fellow Dorian fans (what do we call ourselves anyway?)

 

The newcomers weren't supposed to get codes to give out, but some did and the devs said it's okay to use them if you got them. So just check if they're showing for you once you're in.

 

And yeah, the name issue, I'm wondering too. I ended up using Dorianites just yesterday in another thread but that's not a thing.

What a lovely thing to say! I was very lucky to be given a keep code by a lovely person on here just a few hours ago thanks so much, though. I'll see if I get any codes to give to some of you!

Do you know where he said this? If not, then it's alright. I'll take your word for it.

I searched and found his post about it.

You can read the thread to see what their plans for the soundsets were at that time (no selection sounds, no random barks, etc.), though it's a couple years old and things may have changed.

So there could be some reactive lines that are romance-specific, though I think it's way too early to guess what any particular character would say.

This situation kinda evokes something similar for a lot of gays and lesbians who play story-based video games...

 

I don't mean to be very cheeky, but seriously, though, can I give you an honest opinion?

 

They said romances were very focused on, sure, but they assured us that it's not the be-all-end-all for character relationships.

 

This is deciding for your first headcanon playthrough, right? Go with what you want to play with, not because of who you'd like your Inquisitor to romance. I mean, I'd like to romance Blackwall with my Inquisitor, but if I'm rolling up a female Inquisitor just for it? Yeah, not happening, because there should be more to a playthrough than that. So you can still play as a female Inquisitor like you always wanted, and you can still form a really close friendship with Dorian- it won't be romantic, but character friendships are still a thing.

 

So, your Inquisitor being best friends with Dorian is still a thing you can totally do if you really feel it in your heart of hearts to play a female character. Yeah?

If I could like this post more than once, I would.

 

I definitely definitely want to romance Dorian down the road, but I need to get at least three female Inquisitors' playthroughs done first before I roll a male one, so I will be friendshippping the living mustache out of him meanwhile. Friendship arcs in DA games can be as deep and poignant as romances, sometimes even more so; so I look forward to exploring Dorian's friendship with my femQuizzies as much as I do his romance with my manQuizz. Little bit of Dorian for everyone.
