I got it into my head playing Skyrim that necromancers use ice spells, so for me it's:

 

Dorian (Ice... myabe)

Solas (Fire and some Spirit)

Vivienne (Lightning... unless I switch with Dorian...)

Solas is a nerd so electricity.

And Dorian I see him as a bit impulsive , I don't think he's hot headed but he won't compromise so fire.

 

But I can see how a necromancer would go better with electricity or ice.^^

It's funny the first thing I thought when I saw him was"OMG it's Dorian!" I think it shows how much I need this game to come out.   The movie was great too, of course. I expect the sequel to be leagues (lol) better than War.

Anyway I'm saying this now but once in game , I will take things that works better gameplay wise I think.

And all mages are probably going to have some barrier or healing spells.

 

The only rule I have is no more than one shield and sword warrior.It's probably going to be Cass.

     It was during the early hours of morning when Gale found himself unable to sleep. He carefully extracted himself from Dorian, who blissfully slept on. The sleepless man put on some simple clothes along with his circlet before leaving the room. Skyhold was quiet at this hours, Gale nodding at the sentries and guards who patrolled the halls and outskirts of his fortress. Eventually, the man reached his destination, a garden on the rear of the fortress, secluded, as well as open and overlooking the Frostback Mountains.

     Gale walked towards the center of the garden and moved into the open space before stopping. He took a deep breath and let the air fill his lungs. The man let his senses expand like a wave, allowing him to feel the world around him, the energy in the air, the Veil an almost tangible curtain. As Gale breathed out, he began to move. He took himself through a simple meditation that Solas had showed him, and his arms moved in time with breeze, mimicking the smooth flow of water. As he moved, he lost himself in the simplicity of the movements and let his magic slowly leak from the core of his being.

     Dorian strode out into the garden to discover what was the source of the magical disturbance. He stopped when he saw that it was simply Gale. The blonde man had his eyes closed and seemed to be moving with such grace that even the refined Altus had his breath stolen from him. Where the man’s arms moved, a small ripple of light followed, as blue as the beautiful sky. The dawn had just arrived, the pale yellow of the sun peeking over the mountains. As the light of morning bathed the garden in its strong glow, the leftover mist in the garden glittered from both it and Gale’s magic. The moving man was bathed an ethereal glow that struck a deep chord within the Altus, making his heart flutter.

     As Dorian watched his lover move in silence, the light coming from the other mage’s hands began to grow, and soon, soft, warm waves of light were moving around the garden. Vaguely, Dorian could feel the Veil thinning in response to the power Gale was invoking, and made a mental note to mention it to Solas. After about twenty minutes, the movements came to a rest and so too did the beautiful display of light. Gale turned, only to jump when he saw his lover gazing at him heatedly.

     “Beautiful,” Dorian said, the Altus man’s voice filled with wonder.

     “What? Oh, yes, the magic. It’s just something Solas has been teaching me,” Gale stammered, taken aback by the intensity in his lover’s eyes.

     “Not the magic, love,” Dorian said before crushing his lover’s lips with his own, effectively shutting up Gale.

     "You should know that I won’t go easy on you, darling,” Dorian warned.

 

     “I’d expect nothing less from you my love,” Gale replied.

 

     The two were alone in the mage’s training ground, each man on a different side and facing each other. Dorian wore a golden vest and loose trousers while Gale wore similar attire that was silver in color. Both had left their staves in the bedroom. This was a simple duel, allowing each other to get more attuned to each other’s fighting styles and magic usage. And perhaps, to some extent, their pride was at stake as well. After a silent count to three, they began.

 

     Dorian, quick as a viper, shot a fireball at his lover, hoping to catch him off guard. But it was not to be. Gale, steady and arms flowing like water, caught the blast of fire before sending it back toward the other man. Dorian snapped his fingers and the fire dissipated into smoke. Gale came forward with a blast of lightning flowing from his fingertips, only for Dorian to dispel it even before it left the Inquisitor’s hands. Dorian had been taught how to fight with magic since he first manifested, and his exceptional reflexes reflected that.

 

     The Altus stomped on the ground with his left foot, loosing a wave of mana though the earth that swept the ground out from Gale’s feet. The downed man’s hastily erected barrier was the only thing that kept him from getting a blast of ice to his face. While still on the ground, Gale reached out with force magic and pulled out Dorian’s legs as well. Both sat on the ground for a few seconds, catching their breath. After a few seconds, both surged to their feet and the fight renewed itself.

 

     The two went back and forth for almost an hour, trading and countering each other’s spells, until they began playing a little dirty. Gale first used a hex against Dorian, to sap his energy and slow him down. In response, Dorian hit him with burst of mental energy that left his lover dazed. While Gale was bobbing and weaving, Dorian, now freed from the hex, enacted one of his most complex spells. Muttering and using several crisp and flowing gestures, he called forth one of the rarest magical elements. The water in the air surrounding Gale condensed forth in a torrent that left the man utterly soaked and freezing. Gale’s concentration was completely shattered and he collapsed in a shivering heap. To seal his victory, Dorian unleashed his strongest anti-mage spell. A glyph of light slowly etched itself onto the ground underneath the wet and shivering man, draining him of all mana.

 

     Dorian, having secured a win, strode over to his lover, palms already heating up to soothe his freezing man. He cradled Gale’s head in his lap and let his magic dry and warm the other man. After a few minutes, Gale opened a steel blue eye, and looked right up at his love.

 

     “I suppose you win this round, dear,” he conceded.

 

     “I did warn you, didn’t I?” Dorian replied with a small smile.

 

     The two made themselves presentable before they returned to Gale’s room for round two.

Oh, thank you for the kind words!   I have a lot of fun writing these guys. And for me, I explain water magic as kind of being a school of magic only taught in Tevinter, hence the lack of its usage in the other parts of Thedas.

 

I think my next thing will be Dorian teaching Gale some water magic.

   “Try again, Gale,” Dorian patiently said.

 

   “I am trying,” Gale replied, panting in exhaustion.

 

   For hours, Dorian had been attempting to teach his lover the basics of hydromancy, to no avail. The two had gone to the forest immediately outside Skyhold and were practicing among the trees. Needless to say, Gale had not found such a subtle art to be easy for him. His power lie primarily in large, uncomplicated works. More delicate spells were harder from him to get a hold of. The man often found himself a little jealous of his older lover, as the man had both power and finesse, in spades.

 

   “I’ll explain again for you. Water is the element of life. Everything that lives and breathes holds the flow of water. Even the air that we breathe holds that water. It is by understanding this that we can learn to sense and eventually manipulate the water anywhere,” the Altus explained.

 

   Dorian demonstrated for the hopelessly confused Inquisitor, moving his hands in a gesture that was reminiscent of water flowing down a stream. As Dorian moved his hands, Gale could see the glimmer of water flowing between his spread hands. Once it had condensed, Dorian clenched his fists, and the water turned into brittle ice. Again, Gale could do naught but stare in awe. That last act was more than simply cryomancy. Dorian had manipulated the water’s physical structure to change it into ice.

 

   Gale closed his eyes and reached out with his mind for the tenth time, letting his awareness move over the earth in the surrounding forest. Ah, there it was! By letting his mind penetrate deep into the landscape, he could feel drops of water at the edges of his awareness. Now, if only he could manipulate it. With his hands, Gale mimed a pulling motion, trying to draw the water vapor together in the air, attempting to condense it into liquid. For several minutes, his work was to no avail. Out of nowhere though, some sort of instinct took hold of him, and the man truly pulled. Opening his eyes at a small tinkling sound, Gale saw several drops of water on his fingers. Heaving a heavy sigh of satisfaction, the man sat down hard, breathing and sweating heavily. Feeling a hand on his shoulder, Gale looked up to see Dorian smiling down at him.

 

   “Well done, love. Soon, the very waters of life will be at your command,” Dorian said proudly.

 

   Dorian moved to the center of the forest clearing and closed his eyes. His hands moved slowly, and water arose from the air to obey the man. In awe, Gale watched as trees and plants too began to wither around him as the water they held was drawn in hundreds of droplets swirled around the man. The sun’s rays reflected off the water in the air, bathing Dorian in a rainbow glow, causing his now opened golden-green eyes to shine with divine brilliance.

 

   If only you could have seen the light…

These are pretty interesting snippets...  I like that Dorian is a mentor of sorts to the Inquisitor in these... that should make for an interesting first playthrough.  With heavily scripted dialogues, it's difficult to predict how things will turn out, but hopefully the game will let you play into that, at least a little.

Yeah, I can't really dispute that.  Sounds spot on.  *thumbs up*
