HA! That was a great movie, btw. Can't wait to see the sequel when it releases next year.
SECOND PAGE?? UNACCEPTABLE
Wow, that looks pretty impressive... maybe I should re-think my decision to have Dorian specialize in Ice...
I think I'm going to go fire with Dorian.(what , he's hot!)
Ice for Vivienne.
And electricty for Solas.

Hm... that's 100% different from my plans. xD
I got it into my head playing Skyrim that necromancers use ice spells, so for me it's:
Dorian (Ice... myabe)
Solas (Fire and some Spirit)
Vivienne (Lightning... unless I switch with Dorian...)

Well it's mostly how I see them...in game I may change my plans.
Vivienne is like an ice queen so ice.
Solas is a nerd so electricity.
And Dorian I see him as a bit impulsive , I don't think he's hot headed but he won't compromise so fire.
But I can see how a necromancer would go better with electricity or ice.^^
Dorian and Viv might both be fire for me, cause Solas will be electricity and my mage is gonna be ice.
In my mind, Dorian is a very passionate person, and in my mind, I kind of see necromancy as rekindling the fires of life within a person.

Whoops, I didn't mean that as a criticism... in fact, the idea of Solas being a pyromancer popped into my head earlier today out of nowhere. I've been undecided and it sounded good, so I'm going to go with it. I'm also considering giving Dorian and Vivienne secondary elements just in case we run into something that's immune to their powers. So I might just have them each take the other's element as a secondary... not much more than 1-2 backup spells, but that's better than being helpless against a certain enemy type.
Also, I haven't really been thinking in terms of their personalities, but Ice fits well with Dorian since he's such a "cool" guy, right? o.O

It's funny the first thing I thought when I saw him was"OMG it's Dorian!" I think it shows how much I need this game to come out.
The movie was great too, of course. I expect the sequel to be leagues (lol) better than War.

Oh I didn't take it as criticism! ![]()
Anyway I'm saying this now but once in game , I will take things that works better gameplay wise I think.
And all mages are probably going to have some barrier or healing spells.
The only rule I have is no more than one shield and sword warrior. It's probably going to be Cass.

Mine was better.

Mine was better.
Heh... well the gif helped. It certainly saved you from the facepalm response that instantly popped into my head when I read that. ![]()

I laughed because the nickname for my Inquisitor that's romancing Dorian is Gale...and he's also blond. ![]()
Pointing out interesting coincidences aside, I thought these were very nice drabbles - great job on the fight scene in particular (water magic for DA:I pls). Your Inquisitor seems like a lot of fun!

Oh, thank you for the kind words!
I have a lot of fun writing these guys. And for me, I explain water magic as kind of being a school of magic only taught in Tevinter, hence the lack of its usage in the other parts of Thedas.
I think my next thing will be Dorian teaching Gale some water magic.
That sounds like a movie adaptation of DA:I by Wes Anderson

I present to you, Water Magic!

These are pretty interesting snippets... I like that Dorian is a mentor of sorts to the Inquisitor in these... that should make for an interesting first playthrough. With heavily scripted dialogues, it's difficult to predict how things will turn out, but hopefully the game will let you play into that, at least a little.

If we base elements on personality, then I might use:
Dorian - lightning/electric school
Vivienne - inferno school
Solas - winter school
When I think of electricity, I think of effervescence and excitement; two traits that remind me of Dorian's gregarious personality. Vivienne, on the other hand, seemingly has an explosive personality that complements fire while Solas' stoicism and quiet intellect reminds me of cool ice.
Yeah, I can't really dispute that. Sounds spot on. *thumbs up*
