For those that don't travel outside this thread often, the other 6 specialization descriptions were revealed today:

Mages

 

Necromancer

These mages specialize in binding the spirits that are drawn to death. They can put the fear of death into enemies, bring spirits to fight on their behalf, and even cause devastating explosions when their enemies die.

Rift Mage

These mages draw upon the force of the Fade, either pulling matter from the Fade to attack or twisting the Veil itself into a weapon to stagger or crush their enemies.

 

Rogue

 

Assassin

Any rogue can kill a target, but assassins make death into an art form. They specialize in quick, deadly kills that let them slide back into the shadows undetected, or indirect kills that eliminate targets while the assassin is safely away.

 

Tempest

These unpredictable experts specialize in using alchemical mixtures that wreathe them in frost or flame. Fast, chaotic, and possibly mad, they wade into the fight and dare enemies to face the storm.

 

Warrior

Reaver

As the battle gets bloodier, these vicious and deadly warriors get even more brutal. Hurting them just makes them mad, a mistake most enemies don't live to repeat.

 

Templar

These unrelenting warriors specialize in fighting mages and demons. No enemy's magic can withstand them, and they inspire and protect their allies with their righteous power.

 

And I totally agree!!! Dorian's gonna be romancing my Rift Mage come November!

So many classes! I've switched my Dorian romancing character to a pro-mage freedom human noble warrior, so maybe I'll give him the Templar specialization? I think it would go well with his background and provide a nice foil to Dorian.

 

(I don't like playing warriors, but I figure since I'll be dragging Dorian everywhere I'll switch to him during combat. It'll be fun to mess around with his necromancer skillset.)

The Necromancer specialization sounds dangerous and very powerful. If Dorian's version is anything like that, then he will be an unstoppable force. One I'm glad to have on my side.

It all makes sense now why one of the devs dubbed Solas, Dorian, and Vivienne as the team that explodes everything.

Knight Enchanter Viv, Rift Mage Solas, and Necromancer Dorian sounds absolutely dangerous, and I am loving it!

Also, OT, but oh my god they posted the blurbs for the specializations on the Dragon Age website and I am beyond excited about Rift Mage

Umg as usual, friggin Ryuichifoxe and his Rorie His art style is SO charming.

Father Brown is a cute show :3 I love Mark Williams. I actually saw this last year!!! I remember thinking that Mr. Tikaram was schexay. Funny, that. Shows like these cater to a certain crowd that doesn't like the fast-cut, graphic style that is common in modern shows. I like this kind of stuff because it's easy to watch and I get to watch it with my mumsies

Also, the writing is just fine, to me. It has a beautiful spectrum of vocabulary utitilised wonderfully by theatrically-trained actors - one thing which is lacking in a lot of hollywood shows these days.

I enjoy the show, but this episode was rather weak. Much of the plotting seemed excessively contrived, to the point of distraction. That's what I was referring to when mentioning the writing.

But the performances are great, and the banter and dialogue typically charming. Ramon has spectacular delivery, though his lines are sparing.

I lived in Southern California until very recently, which is why I was trolling the KCET website (they were the only channel to air Borgen, so I started tuning in weekly and ended up watching the British dramas on Sunday night). I was legitimately there to watch Father Brown; it simply happened to be the episode with Ramon, and I recognized him and thought I'd share.
