Though.... if Dorian = DHMG = the original survey art, his (old) concept art is extremely militaristic. He has almost a spear for a staff, and also a sword. That totally doesn't strike me as a defensive or healing mage, and it seems... "brazen".
(You know how Bioware's artists always talk about how the characters' visual styles match their personality and attributes.)
What's also interesting about the War Room screenshot is that it roughly kept to the outline of that original concept art (lots of characters around a map table) while changing a lot of the details - having every companion and advisor, for example, and the Inquisitor isn't as stabby.
I noticed that Cullen's outfit in that scene is now a modified version of the survey art, not the same one he was wearing in the War Room concept. DHMG's is closer to the previous art in which we saw him, and not really similar to the older survey one. I don't know if that could mean they've taken the character in a slightly different direction, although people have supposedly still seen Tevinter serpents/dragons on his clothing.
