As to Dorian's new tarot card, I don't think it's an octopus tentacle. Looking at the whole thing, I actually think it's a snake.

Nope. Took six months to get this far, and as the thread has probably had all it's expected explosions from LI reveal to voice actor annoucement, it'll probably only get to 700 at best. (;

First off, happy 500 pages everyone! For the past 3 or so months returning to the BSN, I haven't found a thread that I thoroughly enjoyed as much as this one and that's because of so many brilliant and fantastic collective minds at work here. You guys are truly the best.

Of course, I can't forget to thank this man for bringing us all together.

Honestly, he looks like a god.

But to add to speculation, I think he might also be The Magician.



I'm not well versed in tarot analysis so I'll just reiterate the description of this card:

"The Magician is the archetype of the active, masculine principle - the ultimate achiever. He symbolizes the power to tap universal forces and use them for creative purposes. Note his stance in the picture. He acts as a lightening rod - one arm extended up into the Divine for inspiration, the other pointing toward Earth to ground this potent energy. What makes the Magician so powerful? First, he is not afraid to act. He believes in himself and is willing to put that belief on the line. He also knows what he intends to do and why. IMO, the bolded parts do reflect his determination and confidence quite well.

That makes a lot more sense than the tentacle, considering the Tevinter/Venatori iconography.
