Eh... Dorian is cool and all, but that staff is mine.
He can use it when I play as a warrior though...

I really like that staff but it reminds me of my Hawke.
I think I will give it to Vivienne.
Dorian will get the Dragon Staff from the pre order edition.

I never played that DLC, so it just looks like an awesome staff to me... :>

I doubt Dorian cares to look at a naked Andraste anyway.

Argh, I also didn't notice that! IS NO STAFF SACRED??
EDIT: Ignore the fact that putting Andraste on a staff probably makes it sacred.

I remember in DA2 ...Andraste's boobs appearing in all the cinematics!

Still more and more staffs that look like the DLC items from DA2. I can live with that, but I hope there are some cool new designs thrown in the mix as well. Stache shaped staff would be over powered though...

I'm basing this comparison off of Malcolm's Honor, which is supposed to have a nude Andraste at the tip of the staff. This may or may not be applicable to the staff in Inquisition though.

I wouldn't mind them bringing back the Lamppost in Winter staff, but I do agree that a variety of old and new designs would be best. I like to think that the trident Dorian was carrying in his concept art is still available as a weapon exclusive to him.

Well, whoever it is, she's butt naked... I can't unsee that now. ![]()

Even that staff shared the same skin as Stone's Breath: http://img2.wikia.no...tonesBreath.jpg Re-used skins got kind of annoying in DA2, and it's unfortunate that so many of the old skins have returned... hopefully there are some new ones as well, but I've seen several weapons that are exact copies of DA2 items. This applies to all weapon types too, not just staves... :/

I dunno, Malcolm's Honor was my favourite looking staff in DA2, so I don't mind it as much despite the lore....
But I bet there are dozens of new, exciting staves to enjoy.

So with the confirmation of Companions having the same specializations has the player, and Dorian's skill set is almost definitely Necromancy, what do you imagine the other companions reactions to him using would be?
Cass would be particularly interesting, hailing from Nevarra where they are less...squeamish about that sort of thing. Mages can also hold higher ranking in Nervarran society, almost as much as in Tevinter... of course we know Cassandra already has a distrust of magic users.

I don't recall anything being said about Dorian and Cassandra's relationship, but I think they would get along well. As you point out, Nevarran culture is unique among the White Chantry nations for their views of the dead and treatment of mages. I think they'd get along very well since they have so much in common. Plus, Dorian left Tevinter because of some disagreement with the government there, so it's possible that he and Cassandra will have similar views on other issues... maybe...
As for the rest... eh... necromancy is legal, but frowned upon in most cultures on Thedas, so I can't imagine practicing it will make him very popular... on the other hand, I'm not sure if anyone will specifically object to it, aside from perhaps Vivienne. Maybe Iron Bull since he doesn't seem to care for spirits and demons (assuming those are needed for reanimation...). I'm curious to see how Dorian and Cole interact... would Cole have an objection to him summoning spirits into corpses?

I'd like for Cole to be wary of him, he is a spirit after all. Vivienne, I imagine, would ridule and condemn him for Necromancy when ever she could. Iron Bull...seems like he gets on with Dorian, though probably isn't comfortable with his specialization. I think Solas would frown upon it, he is buddy with spirits 'LEAVE MY FRIENDS ALONE', and I'd be surprised if it phased Varric, he was protective over a blood mage and an abomination after all.
As for Blackwall and Sera, I don't really know.

I think you're on the right track. As for the remaining companions, if Blackwall is anything like a typical Grey Warden, I doubt he would care... they tolerate a lot of questionable things so long as they contribute to the greater good. As for Sera... no idea. I haven't heard anything related to her thoughts on magic, so I'm going to assume she has no strong opinions one way or the other... that could go either way.

Black wall I don't think will mind. Remember, he's a grey warden who's probably been with his fair share of warden blood mages. Necromancy is just another means to an end to him most likely.
Sera might be freaked out though. She doesn't like Cole or from what I hear, rich people. Sooo...she might not have the best relationship with Dorian. Or maybe I'll be wrong and they'll be besties.

The game isn't even out yet but they already have Keep tiles for it?
