Unfortunately, he wasn't in the gameplay video today.
After the stream today I am in serious need of some Dorian face time cause Cullen was looking mighty fiiiinnee.
...A shameless part of me thought so too. And this is pretty much my reaction:
It's like "man, you are seriously off-limits (even though he's fictional and a mesh of polygons enveloping a rig). I don't need to be gawking at you. Just... no!"
I still personally think he's not as appealing as Dorian, though. But that's my personal bias talking.
Where's Dorian when you need a refresher?
I'm starting to think Dorian may be added to the team later then we had hopped. Sad times if that is the case. I already had to wait another extra month, at least give me Dorian in the first few hours of gameplay.

It's not clear we're locked in the order we approach quests, so it's wait and see right now.
yes indeed. I hope he can be recruited early on.
I think we'll be able to choose when to go for most of the recruitment quests.

I anticipate that he will be one of my most powerful mages, so I need him as early as possible... :/
yep, unless it's very clear when we can recruit someone, every quest that seems to be mage related or taking place in Haven...will most likely by high priority for me (unless it is over my level or something). I may have to get the guide. but I don't want to, I know it won't be nearly as detailed as I want it to be.

I'm guessing it will be easy to figure out... I mean, we know the name of the primary faction that he's opposed to. We'll likely encounter him on one of the first missions involving the Venatori. That's my guess anyway...
How soon we can recruit him will likely be dependent on how early the Venatori storyline starts. I'm guessing before mid-game, but you never know. It might be 20 hours or so before we can find him.

True, I sincerely hope the companions are all introduced to us within the first 5 hours of the game...
I think all this speculation is just making us antsy (and on my end, rather irritable, because I'll probably end up thinking the worst if this doesn't stop).
But here's what we got so far...
That's all I got.
I don't expect all the companions to be introduced to the player so closely with each other, though. But I suspect Dorian will turn up sooner than a lot of us seem to be thinking.
