I think Dorian will be important. Not as much as Blackwall, but intimately tied to a major enemy faction.

You think that's why the details about Blackwall are being kept under wraps?  That's possible, I suppose...

Thing is, the Venatori themselves might be something that comes up in the middle of the main story arc.

 

The only thing I can think of that indicates we get him earlier is a quote from the trailer, where Dorian mentions the Elder One. From the dialogue, it sounds like neither he nor the Inquisitor knows who/what the Elder One is, and I reckon that's pretty early in the story where they're still setting up all of the villains and major plots.

True.  For some reason I had always pictured us meeting Dorian during our first encounter with the Ventatori, but as long as he doesn't appear 20 hours or more into the game, the details aren't too important to me...   We must also consider that Vivienne is most likely the third mage that we will encounter, so would that put her at the 30 hour mark?  40?  This just sounds like way too long to be spending with the same party members...  we have 9 of them to collect, so I am thinking that everyone will show up within the first 10-15 hours.  I don't want there to be another situation like Oghren... I always did Orzammar last, and so I barely had any time to actually go on missions with him.  I'm thinking that DA:I's recruitment will be the equivalent of gathering all of Hawke's companions in the first Act of DA2... except for Sebastian, but even he showed up at the very beginning of Act 2.

It looked like Dorian.  At least, from the little glimpse we saw.  Perhaps someone else in Tevinter garb?  I don't know... I think we'll have a rocky start with Dorian if we so choose to have (accepting him fully or distrusting him), especially with him being a Tevinter magister and such.

I thought it was the leather armor he seems to have underneath the white blanket thing.

Quite a few of his concept outfits feature bare upper arms and robes missing shoulder pieces, so it's very likely i don't think we are allowed to post from the art book leak, but if you're interested, tumblr is your friend

Nnngh, a whole trailer full of beautiful human male inquisitor and I'm so tempted to make one for my first quizzie but then I kinda really want to make an elven one too... I can't choose! I know that he's going to be a mage but I just can't decide on race :')
