So is it my imagination or did Dorian get hotter in that heroes of Thedas trailer? I'm hoping that's how he looks in the final build. Also I'm glad it's been thoroughly debunked, because when I first saw that trailer I was like WHY AM I ATTACKING DORIAN?!?

Most definitely not just your imagination. In fact, I think everyone got hotter.

It was the voice at 0.57 and at 1:07... I thought that was Dorian's voice.

My first impression was that it was the Inquisitor though I understand why it could be mistaken for Dorian. The way Harry says, "All of this happened..." sounded like Ramon.

I don't think that'll ever happen. It'll be like asking Zevran to get his face tattoo removed. That moustache probably has nerves and vital blood vessels.

 

But seriously, grooming or not, that design's just permanently locked in. Maybe in future installments when he gets a cameo appearance, he'll look different, but the moustache stays.

 

Although I do want to see him in different looks, particularly if he forgoes the moustache and gets all grizzled and scruffy. I don't know, he's hot as hell, but I still have mixed feelings when it comes to his grooming habits. It's like that boyfriend you have and he comes home with a mullet and you're like "Dude, you're gonna have to work little harder tonight to get me in the mood now".

Dorian with mullet? All he would need to do is switch his white wrap for a plaid shirt around his waist and he will be grunge. Dorian in 90's punk clothing just sounds out of character.

I'm going to have a great mid-to-late November.  The week before the game release, I'm taking my daughter on a surprise Disneyland trip.  Then the next week DAI comes out.  Then the week after that, I'm off all week, including two days of being home alone.

So far the more I hear about Dorian and video I see, he's probably going to be the main mage I use in my party.

 

Anyone know if he is going to be quite humorous? In the video with the voice actor who voices him it was quite humorous and I am hoping his character has good quips and jokes like that, that's why I loved Alistair so much in DA:O, he was both funny as hell when he wanted to be but also had another side you got to know as the story went along.

I had this problem too so just go after both. The real question is, which first. I decided to get Dorian first.

 

Also I like your avatar, is it one of your chars? If so which mods did you use to get a DAO elf to look like that?

I listened to the trailer's audio several times before I had an opportunity to watch it (was at work when it came out), so maybe that colored my first impression?

I will do both, quite sure of that, unless the ending of the game is a total mess like ME3. I highly doubt that. DA:I looks totally awesome so far.

Right now I'm planing with at least 3 playthroughs, while the first two of them will feature both male samegender romance options. Like you said, it's just the question of which one first.

 

My frist Inquisitor will be an elven mage, given the option, I always do them first. In my head a somewhat fragile little elf looks just fine in the hands of Iron Bull, I like the contrast. And then I stumbled over this thread and it's freaking hot pictures. Dorian might not be as masculine as the Iron Bull is, but he's so sexy and if he really is so charming and witty as the little I have seen make it look like, I'm not sure I can resist him.

 

Feeling unable to decide this at the moment, I will have to wait til I get my greedy hands on this game. Go with the flow, or what else should I call it? I'm sorry, having little problems here to express myself in english properly. I'm trying hard though, so I hope it's understandable.

 

My avatar is my favourite DA:O char. I have a bunch of mods, not sure which of them are necessary to rebuild him. It's not a headmorph. He's the product of coincidence. I used something to replace the frist default elf, but failed, getting a bald, not to handsome guy. Fortunately I was able to make changes to his face, gave him another haircut and went with it.

Honestly, I haven't even thought about a Qunari mage. Mostly because the DA2 poor guy wasn't that appealing, but yeah, of course our Inquisitor won't be such a pitiful creature. Could be a thing. And I can totally see him with Dorian. Have to think about that for the second playthrough. Now I'm in the strange position to see myself fallen for Dorian twice in row. I never was good at following my own stage directions.

 

What about the others? What do you think, which race/class combination suits Dorian the best? Guess you already have discussed that somewhere in the last 500 pages, haven't you? Is that important for you or do you think it's just cosmetical nonsense?
