I've not read any of this thread, but I just wanted to say Dorian looks awesome. I'm a straight male and have always either gone for the hetero romances with male characters, and lesbian romances for fem chars in the mass effects and previous DA games. For the first time however I am seriously considering a gay romance playthrough, all thanks to Dorian. I am going to be a human male mage and see if I can find any suitably sexy facial hair in the cc as I really want a Meeting of the Marvelously Mustachioed Manly Mages ™

I can confirm this from a friend of mine who I trust fully and who has seen the ESRB footage.  Dorian butt is happening!

 

Same with the dwarf/IB scene.

1.)  Dorian seems like such a cool character that people who would normally not consider m/m romances are considering exploring that storyline

and

2.)  There are people (particularly straight guys) who are comfortable enough with their own sexuality to RP a gay character and enjoy the game.

I admit I doubted your info at first, but now that the ESRB description pretty much confirms it, I don't really see any reason not to believe you.

Man, fancy mustaches need to become a thing again. I thought that having an astronaut sport one would surely make them appear all over the place. But they're still very niche.

Perhaps only a few people can grow the damned things. I certainly have never managed a proper one.

I saw a trailer on my Xbox with a bit of banter between the inquisitor and Dorian that went something along the lines of,
Inquisitor: " You look like you're waiting for an applause", to which Dorian responds " There's not going to be an applause?" Just that few seconds was enough for me, I hadn't really been planning to use him much until that, I had been planning to use Viv as my main mage.
