I think dorian will stay far from religious considerations and stay with mages and circles... That may be eerie.
I think dorian will be a supporter of the chantry... the imperial chantry, the chantry of Tevinter that supports magic(it also places less emphises on Andraste and more on the Maker) and it is the dominate faith of Tevinter.
But seriously. 
It's like a few weeks till the game is out and they keep changing companions looks?
It's funny, because back in the day people (including myself...) were drawing Dorian with pale blue eyes, until we were told that he actually has hazel eyes. Looks like all those old drawing are accurate again

I was digging the amber eyes, especially because it's the practically most common southeast asian eye colour, and I find em beautiful. Now his eyes are blue, and I'm like... what....?

Not a fan of the change. You don't find a lot of South Asian people with blue eyes, and I was really appreciating that they were being mostly faithful. I prefer the hazel, or even green would have been a better choice.

Dorian is more than a Romance option, as a companion. Some people will like it and some people wont Any tweak or change to a companion will be met with applause and hisses. Bioware design the looks of their character such that they don't really care if people go boo hoo. Cassandra is taking a lot of heat for not looking like a long haired beauty queen. But Bioware doesn't care.
I hope that they continue to tweak the models and textures for all assets of the game, from a blade of grass, to the eyes of Dorian, to the chest hair of Varric, to the beard of Blackwall, to the stones of sykhold. Thats the way we get a better game.
