Yep. That's exactly the mentality that I'm talking about. Then again, video games got to my country pretty late, so I guess it's no surprise adults over here aren't fond of them.

 

Or, and bear with me on this, "grown adults" between the ages of 25 and 40 grew up with video games so they don't see them as a children's game.  At least that's how I see it.  Most of my friends play video games, male and female.  And I'm, *gasp*, closer to forty than thirty now. 

Wow, I feel so small now. Then again, that means I have many more years to play video games at my disposal!

So, I think it might be time for me to sequester myself and get off of here too. I accidentally came across two spoilers that are much bigger than I ever wanted to come across and are basically character perception breaking for two of the companions (luckily neither are Dorian) and I'm kind of upset with myself about it.

Okay, more details on how to meet Dorian:

As I said, recruiting him seems to be a later thing, but meeting him can be done quite early. Like, as early as Blackwall and before some other characters. In the video I watched, the guy had just got Blackwall and hadn't met Bull, Vivienne or Cole when he met Dorian. You meet him in Redcliffe Village after talking to the leader of the rebel mages and some other story shenanigans.

 

There you go, now you know where to find him.

Alexius is like level 7 - 8. So I might go and recruit him between those levels or so if we are allowed to recruit him before that quest better... But seeing as he joined the Inquisition after that quest.. well we will see.

Venturing away from spoilers, did anyone else notice that the drunk guy in the Varric trailer was wearing Altus armor? I only recognized it because it's appeared in this thread a couple times.

Definitely explains Drunk Guy's entitlement complex. If he's actually an Altus, he probably thinks he's the Maker's gift to everyone.

(also, interesting that the tavern is serving someone in obvious Tevinter regalia... is it farther north?)

I read it somewhere (probably here) that Alexius and Dorian were working on time manipulation spell before? That kinda explains Haste for Dorian's focus skill.. but it doesn't make any sense for Necro-Quizzy to have that. I hope specialization quest somehow explains this.

Hi Dorian folks!  I have never been on your thread before, but I gotta say....Dorian absolutely rocks in the new trailer (the Breach).  The purple glowing hands, the look on his face, the way he hits the beat in the music when that amazing dragon flies in!!!  I have watched it like 20 times!  I even let out a small squee for him!!!!!!  I think he is going to be amazing.

Yeah the other companions threads are full of spoilers.

It's hard to resist .

 

Anyway since lots of reviewers had the game early you can almost watch the whole game on the net at this point.

Would be nice if this thread stay a bit spoiler free , people can create a group for Dorian spoilers stuff.

Well, the character threads I visit are either spoiler-free or really good with spoiler tags. Most people who want to discuss spoilers are in spoiler groups already (like myself). It just means it gets real quiet in here, but oh well.

Dorian's thread is one of the most quiet so far.Which is cool because I have a really terrible time resisting spoilers.

You got no one to blame but yourself for clicking on those though. Personally I've managed to avoid the more explicit kind of spoilers by just not looking for them. Not spoil-tagging something is dickish though.

Yes, and medium apparently. But that's the auto low and medium, no idea if changing some individual options doesn't fix it.
